Plaid Nylon Chip Brush Set, 44289 White, 3 Piece Assortment

Used these brushes with thick Mod Podge and they held up really well. Smooth application of product, great flex in the bristles without being too soft, and super easy to clean. Incredible value over cheap brushes. I thought I would use them once then toss them in the trash, but they are really good brushes so I'm pleasantly surprised. Now I can use them for many more crafting projects with and for kids.

Great synthetic brushes for the price. My advice is to prepare them before use. Brush them with your finger, let them shed some of the loose hairs that never got a chance to attach to the base. Take very sharp hair scissors and groom the edge to make them straight or let your hair dresser do it for you. This gives you a perfect straight edge. This is a my advise if you want these brishes to work for you and spend Pennies compared to alternative artist grade brands. I want to use these to apply varnish. They look really good for that. Soft yet firm. They don’t bend easily. Comparables run for over $40 and they don’t even come in a 3in. Here you have a set of 3 sizes. I am looking forward to using them. See the picture how much hair came out of the 2 sets I bought. Not much hair. I will update my review if there are other findings. Meanwhile, my impression with these is very positive.

These brushes are so soft. I use them to brush off any dirt from my Ring solar panels. They don't scratch the surface.

I'm a custom furniture painter so having the right brushes is important. I buy the regular chip brushes in bulk for throw-away use. To me the expense was worth the trade-off of time and energy spent cleaning brushes. I hesitated to buy these because I didn't think I needed them... Boy, was I wrong! I still use the natural bristle chip brushes when I need uneven texture or striations, but other than that, these have become my go-to brushes for nearly everything else. They've even replaced my expensive brand name synthetic and chalk paint brushes in some instances. They're easy to clean, leave a smooth finish, are easy to clean, comfortable to hold ... and did I mention how easy they are to clean? ;) I bought one set then immediately after trying them went back and bought another set as a backup. I haven't actually opened the second set yet since they are so easy to clean I'm still using the first set!
