Beautiful glasses - easy to hold.

I'm the administrative manager at work and I bought 5 sets of these for our office. I was worried that the design would be a little too "fun" for our conservative employers and their guests, but they are perfect! The design does make them easier to hold, but it's also a subtle look that just gives them a kick of uniqueness. They're very beautiful, classy and sturdy. I dropped one right out of the box and into a drawer and there was not even a chip on it. Then I dropped one glass on top of another one and it held up perfectly fine! They make kind of an echo sound almost like a mix of glass and plastic but you'd never think that by touching or looking at them. Whatever it is just makes them very sturdy.These have maintained a shine every wash. Though I know sometimes it's not the glasses, but the dishwasher itself, that makes glasses get stained/cloudy; I started using Lemi Shine liquid and powder additives which have helped our other glasses too. But these glasses seem like they'd hold up either way.I absolutely love them and want to buy some for my house! They're definitely fun and different - but also gorgeous :)

REALLY cool glasses! There is nothing like them. They are weighted on the bottom, which helps with stability, and very easy to grip. The glass isn't nearly as thick as the Bormioli Muranos, so they probably won't survive a drop, but they are plenty thicker than the very fragile Corelle glasses I used to own, all of which bit the dust pretty quickly.I got two boxes of these Sorgentes from Amazon proper, and one in each box arrived broken, despite being packed reasonably well. The shorter Sorgentes appear to me to be a little thicker, but I don't have them so I can't say for sure. If you're also considering Muranos, I bought those in both sizes, and they are MUCH thicker, heavier glasses. The larger of the Muranos that I got from Amazon's warehouse were packed horribly--some literally clanking directly against each other--but still none arrived broken.Anyway, I plan to use Sorgentes when we have guests, and Muranos for everyday. I love them both. Sure beats what I was looking at in Walmart! BTW, if you look into the bottom of each glass, you see a pretty star, and a "Bormioli Rocco" etching. Adds to the classy factor.

Two things I was looking for were unique and durable and that's what all the reviewers said about these. Thanks reviewers! Now I have really pretty, expensive looking glasses and I swear my drinks taste better. Really. When you're looking at your beverage in an ugly or boring glass, it seems to taste fine. If you get a glass like this, I think it makes your brain smile right before you drink from it. I don't think this is a statistically proven fact or anything, but these glasses look really great, and they're literally almost slip proof for clumsy people like me. Nice thick glass, well made. I ordered 2 sets of 2 sizes and all of them showed up in perfect condition.

I honestly was extremely skeptical of this design and some comments saying that it is easy to hold so I had to try it out and wanted a new addition for my house that can grab guests' attention.I was mind blown, this glass has been dropped 2 times so far and no scratch on it. Oh it was dropped because my girlfriend accidentally tips it over or knocks it over or something, but believe me when I say that this thing has the best design for grip. It is much better than perfectly cylinder glass. The way your hand just sinks into the groove makes this glass A+.Design: 5/5Feel: 5/5Durability: 5/5 (Dropped it 2 times so far and no scratches or any marks that indicates wear and tear) - and No I will not try and see how many times I have to drop it before a scratch is on it, but I will soon enough (girlfriend is pretty clumsy - lol)

When I first received the glasses one glass was broke out of the 5 boxes (20 glasses total) I ordered. I contacted Amazon and they offer to ship out another box or get a 10 dollar credit for a future purchase. So it worked out well in the end and took about 10 mins total on the phone to get everything taken care of. The glass are great to gripping onto. I ended up knocking one off the counter and onto my ceremic floor and it only cracked inside the bottom of the glass. It is still being used since the crack never reached the outside of the glass. I thought running it through the dishwasher would end up making it break due to temperature changes but I was wrong. I will be placing another order for 4 more boxes to fill up the rest of the cabinet. You can't go wrong with these glasses. They are a bit pricey for drinking glasses but you get what you pay for.

The first thing I noticed was that these are beautiful. The second thing was how well they fit into my hand. Those odd dents are really perfect handholds, and I get my thumb into one and my fingers into the rest on the other side. It's quite comfortible to hold.These are very heavy for some reason. The bottoms are pretty thick. They are not smokey grey as they appear to be in the picture here, they are clear glass.I've been on the hunt for some pretty, different looking beverage glasses for some time and there are none to be had on the little island I inhabit for most of the year. These are exactly what I was hoping to find.If you don't mind a slightly heavier drinking glass, these are lovely and different. Recommended highly.

These glasses are beautiful and wonderful to hold. They sparkle out of the dishwasher and garner so many compliments. Mine arrived meticulously packaged in bubble wrap. Will definitely order more in different sizes!
