Saregama Carvaan 2.0 Hindi Portable Music Player 5000 Pre-Loaded Songs with Podcast, FM/BT/AUX (Classic Black)

Excellent product from Saregama! The sound quality is surprisingly rich and clear, and the device is extremely easy to use. The Wi-Fi feature is a big plus, giving access to a lot of additional content beyond the built-in collection. Connecting to the app and Wi-Fi stations was seamless. The premium finish and vintage design look beautiful and add to the home décor. The song collection is vast and well-curated. Packaging was also secure and sturdy, ensuring the product arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommended for music lovers!

Good product

Its pretty good music players. Best for older generation people as it very easy to use . But if you are tech savy person i would suggest to buy something else. Anyhow this is how i felt for the product. Pros 1. Very easy to use. 2. Good build quality (plastic build) 3. Good collection of music 4. Good sound quality 5. Wi-Fi option adds tons of content which regularly get refreshed Cons 1. The carvaan app doesn't work sometimes it gets stuck and also the carvaan player along with it and you have to restart both app and the player to get it running again. 2. FM/AM radio just doesn't work. Doesn't catch any radio station .

Good

I purchased this product and since the set did not pair with wifi/hotspot, asked for a replacement, which was received the very next day. I felt happy and tried to connect the replacement set with wifi/hotspot and that also did not pair. I am using Samsung and Xiaomi mobiles and in both the phones this product did not pair. I raised a complaint with Saregama Service centre, Chennai and they came to my residence and tried to connect it with wifi on my two mobiles. They also found it difficult and the set did not pair with wifi/hotspot on my both mobiles. But paired with the service attendants' mobile hotspot. The service attendant was unable to explain why the set did not pair with my two mobile hotspots and wifi. Hence the service attendant left the set as it is. As such, I returned the product. When the set connected with the service attendant's mobile, I noticed that only HINDI songs, podcasts etc., were only available in wifi mode. No other language is there. The reason maybe it is the Hindi version. The very purpose of purchasing the set with wifi is to hear the audio from the internet in all languages and it did not serve the purpose. Hence the non-hindi speaking people may find it useless. Saregama should come forward to give all languages in wifi mode so that all can purchase it. I did not expect this type of programming by Saregama Creators. I am giving 1 star since there are no zero stars available. Final Conclusion: 1) I recommend purchasing from the local shop by connecting your mobile with the set If you know HINDI and want to hear Hindi programmes, podcasts, music etc., Make sure you purchase it in a local shop by connecting your mobile. Otherwise, it is a waste, since it will play only preloaded 5000 Hindi songs. 2) For non-HINDI speaking people it is of no use since it will play only HINDI programs in wifi mode if your mobile is connected with wifi. All at liberty to hear all the preloaded 5000 Hindi songs. This is my view. 3) No on/off function is available in the remote. You have to operate it in set only. 4) Sound quality is good. 5) For Hindi lovers it is good value for money if connected to wifi. For non-hindi people, it is not good value for money.

It serves well to all who acquire the carvaan 2.0 for entertainment as it contains Hindi Bollywood films songs starting from year 1950 to 2010 offline bifurcated in sections Artists, Special and Geetmala . A modern feature is added in the form of WiFi. The WiFi feature connects to Application based feature Carvaan which may be downloaded on mobile phones. Its WiFi feature is very limited and requires its expansion to All world Radio stations and Podcasts . At present WiFi feature is inadequate. The device is also a FM and MW Radio. FM works well as I am at prime location but not sure that it will work well at remote locations in villages of India. Its Bluetooth feature makes it a very good speaker which may be connected to phones and computers to listen music through carvaan 2.0 . Body is made using good materials and finishing is very good. Size of the body is optimal. Curves on all its corners make it a very attractive in design. Handle adds additional beauty to the design. It may be operated manually as well as by remote. Remote does not contain On/Off button so when wishing to shutdown the carvaan 2.0 not possible by remote. It contains a chargeable battery. Battery backup is moderate. Charger is not there in the package. A charging cable is supplied instead of charger.

The item is very light weight. The plastic corners are not well fit and the buttons are also low quality, you press one and the next one can been seen moving in two. They are hard plastic buttons. It is cheap Chinese build. The green color is so dark that it looks black from 3 feet away (see pictures). The speaker is loud, has zero base. The app setup is frustrating because they mention wrong app name in the brochure. The right app name is “Smart remote connect” on both iphone and android play stores. The classical collection is good. Since those songs didn’t have base, the speaker is quite good for them, the voice doesn’t crack. The device can be connected to 4 mobiles/ accounts so that any one of them can connect and play at a time. Wifi connection is frustrating as it can only connect to 2.5G network. Even more frustrating is it charging as it used USB to Type C so you neend to buy a brick with USB charging additionally or charge it with higher capacity type c chargers we use these days. It is definitely way overprized. 3000 is more than sufficient for this device. Once you set it up for your parents/ grandparents, it is a good enough device for them. Each time another person wants to play songs, first person has to disconnect first from app or restart the device.

Very good product

everything is great. but battery is like 2 -3 hours with full charging ,and full charging takes like one hour

All functions works smoothly. Speaker quality is good. Radio lover will enjoy it more.

Worth the price !!!

This the musical boom box equivalent of a T-rex. Plays all technologies and compatible with everything! Wifi, Bluetooth, Aux etc...Battery life pretty great too!

Better Quality and very nice - Traditional - Enjoy multifunction functionalities especially when you are in campaigning walking and very good with radio options the bigger problem in longeer run as it doesn't have USB C so charging not good...also it goes off in between songs any time
