The gadget battery life isn’t great at all, at a full charge it will last you maybe five minutes off the charger before powering off due to low battery. I leave it in my car mounted on the windshield connected to the cigarette charging port , turns on when key is on the on position and turns off when key is in off position. It’s records in a loop I have it every 3min does it’s job recording, motion detection isn’t great no need for that when your driving and you can’t use it while in park mode not enough battery life , even on high sensitivity in the motion detection mode it doesn’t pick up every movement . The back camera I have no experience with it I can’t get it to turn on tried connecting the power cable to the power supply for my tail lights but does not turn on so no review on the quality.. when purchasing a dash cam you really do get what you pay for I guess that my fault Hopefully this helps thanks for your time .....
