Norco Shoulder Pulley, 6 Ounce

My third and last shoulder pulley!
My physical therapist gave me two different pulley systems for home to aid in my frozen shoulder rehab. Both were flimsy, sqeaky, and the pulley did not work smoothly so my workouts were painful. I decided to give this one a try and it is wonderful! It is well constructed, adjustable, and most importantly, the pulley works smoothly and allows me to get a good workout without adding to my pain! The handles are sturdy and don't pinch my hands. All around great therapy aid, especially for the very reasonable cost.

Like another reviewer
Like another reviewer, I too did not receive the product pictured. I've been going to physical therapy after shoulder surgery and needed to get the same type of door pulley as my therapists so I can perform the exercise as described. I specially ordered this product because of the handle pictured. The product I received however, was just a plastic piece with a hole in it for the rope for the handle. I need the full handle to hold at different angles. I need to use something now so I will manage with what I received but the seller should have either informed me of the product switch, or pictured the correct one and hence I can't give this product more than one star.

Not "D" handle...but can be modified...see pictures.
The handles are not as shown, or even as described. The description says "ergonomically designed handles for comfort and effectiveness.", but the handles are straight (not "D" shaped) with holes through them that the rope runs through. The rope ends up running out of the handle between your pointer and ring fingers. It is uncomfortable to have the rope running between your fingers and is difficult to use for some positions.I removed the handles provided, cut pieces of 3/4" PVC (with notches so that the pipe wouldn't rotate on the rope), ran the rope through them, tied the rope, and used a lighter to lightly melt and seal the knot so that I wouldn't run the risk of the knot untying under pressure and injuring myself. I gave the item 3 stars because the pulley and door clip are as pictured and it only took me 10 minutes or so to modify it so that it would be more usable.***I have added pictures of the handles provided and the handles I made***

just what the physical therapist ordered
shoulder pulley helps to maintain physical therapy exercises in the home environment to follow up therapy sessions done by the professionals. the lengths are adjustable to the individual's needs simply by loosening the knot and shortening or lengthening as needed. easily hooks over the top of the door and the pulley itself is super smooth. it really has helped to strengthen the shoulder after having a rotator cuff surgery. would highly recommend this product.

One minor flaw
The Norco Shoulder Pulley works very well mechanically and is very portable and sturdy. The only thing I do not like about it are the hand grips. They are uncomfortable when using the system for a long time. I am looking for a way to wrap the handle to alleviate this issue. Otherwise, it has been very useful for home P.T. since I broke my arm.

Works well
I purchased this system for exercises recommended by my physical therapist for frozen shoulder. It is lightweight, glides easily and simple to install on the door. It comes with a clearly written instruction book with sample exercises and supporting photos. I did need to shorten the rope which was easily accomplished. As a bonus its small size makes it ideal for traveling.Pro: lightweight, small, easy to install, instructions included.Cons: None
