**Q: my 120 year old is new to boxing.  I am not sure what hook and loop mean - does it have the loop for the thumb and then velcro at the end to secure it**
A: 120 is the perfect age to start boxing. As a matter of fact, Rocky Marciano started at the age of 123 and he did quite well

**Q: Are these good for female with small hands whose getting into kickboxing ? or will they be to big ?**
A: Definitely. I know some ladies who like the 180's cause they provide a lot of extra padding, because of small hands. Most ladies with small hands, prefer to use the 120's because they have a better fit. It's going to come down to personal preference. Just stay away from the 108's because those are for little kids. Good luck in your kickboxing.  :)

**Q: whichones do u guys recomend these ones or the mexican everlast wraps**
A: I prefer the pro impact wraps, over the everlast wraps. The velcro closures on the PIs are a much better quality closure.

**Q: Should I wash these before using them?**
A: I have always just used upon arrival.  They get a wash after your first workout for sure.

My husband and I have tried several brands and these are the only ones we are re-ordering. They wrap well and are thick enough to provide good protection. Most of all they do not twist up into a messy wad. For years we have been "stealing" them from each other until we finally called a truce and decided to throw the crappy Meister ones away and buy more of these. It's a quality of life issue.
