As good as canned poultry meat taste and texture can be. Do follow the suggestion to let the contents air out for a while after opening and before using in a recipe; it does improve the flavor. The size of the contents (net 14.5 oz) is nearly a pound, so a can unloads into quite a pile of pieces. No gristle or bone fragments in the ones I opened.

A good storage food to have on hand. High quality and tasty for a canned meat. I like them alot.

If you're a fan of turkey then you will like the versatility of this product. Best canned turkey I have found. Apparently, others think so too as the only downside is that the price goes up and up. I've yet to ever see it on sale. So, the supply to demand is working.

I really enjoy this product. Enough turkey breast for 4 good-size servings in the 14.5 ozs. can (I eat more than 2 ozs. at a time ;). Meat was in very large chunks and has the consistency of a pot roast. Moist. Tender. Cooked through. Taste and smells like turkey. Not really sliceable, like a roasted bird. I eat this by itself on a plate, mixed-in dressing/stuffing, piled-on mashed potatoes, SOS, in Shepard's Pie, Enchiladas, Taco's...the list will go on. If I hadn't have already made my Original Idahoan Mashed Potatoes , I would have used the salty released broth for them, next time... As someone who likes turkey, I ordered it again for my Holiday Dinner in December. Made my Thanksgiving Dinner very wonderful. Blessings to Amazon for helping those unable to reach a grocery store to still be able to enjoy Holiday fixings. Made a wonderful plate from items Amazon shipped to me. I really like that Keystone Meats actually stamps the 'use by date code' into the bottom of the can. For those that believe this smells like canned Tuna, realize that is probably because they are both cooked in the can. You are probably use to the turkey skin putting out a different aroma but this does smell and taste like turkey breast. Keystone Meats All Natural Canned Chicken has basically the same type smell, but it tastes like stewed chicken. I have found no glob of fat in the cans I have opened. UPDATE: As an FYI...Keystone Meats has redone their RDA label. The corrected one is shown on the 28 ozs. can information. Instead of a 3 ozs. serving, the label now reads 2 ozs. serving (same on all their canned meats). Approximately 8 (not 7.5) servings, instead of 5 servings.

The product picture shows: 70 calories/serving and Total Fat: 1.5g. The can that came has 80 calories/serving and Total Fat: 3g. That's DOUBLE the Total Fat.

I have an extraordinary finicky cat with a distressed digestive tract. I've had her food made by a Veterinarian. I've made it from humanely raised chickens myself. Ive bought about every organic grain free brand I could find. And so she srerms to invariably turn her nose up. Especially when I add vitamins to her food. But I saw canned turkey on Amazon and thought "what do I have to lose?". She loves my homemade turkey. So why not. The ingredients are turkey and sea salt. No msg. Nor water. Family owned business. How bad could it be?! Well I'm thrilled to say - She loves it. Even with her vitamins. She could not get enough. So now I plan to top off her daily food with some Keystone Turkey. And will explore their whole product line to see if anything else suits her taste. And also I have to confess, I gave it a taste, and it actually tastes like left over turkey from a thanksgiving dinner. Wasn't bad at all notwithstanding some of the bad reviews. I could see making a salad with this turkey walnuts, apples, green grapes and a good healthy mayo or blue cheese. If I do, I'll update my review. But for now my cat is happy and so goes the household today!!!! Will buy again.
