Rusty Paws
I have a 12yr old white "wowzer" (westie schnauzer mix) and she licks her paws like cotton candy and they have turned rusty. I was skeptical to try these, but I had to do something because she was smelly and driving me crazy. She has only had this issue for the past year and I have tried changing her food, but that didn't help either. We have only been giving her these "treats" for about a week and I can't believe the difference! She licks less, digs less and I feel like her anxiety level has gone down too. The "rust" on her paws and face have even faded. I can't wait to see what happens after her trip to the groomer-

Not sure is it helps
My dog is still itching like crazy. She loves the chews and I still give them to her.

So far I am impressed
UPDATE: 3 days in and her face is far less red and appears to have fur growing back. She still does some full body shaking/itching, but not nearly as bad as it had been. As of now, I plan to repurchase this item when we run out. I will update if that changes. To start, i was very hesitant about trying this product. My sweet (very old) Newfie has been struggling with allergies the last few years. She has scratched the fur off of her face. The vet had us start with Benadryl, then steroids. There is another allergy med for dogs that is currently not available in our area. We’re using a low dose of steroids right now, and I figured these were worth a shot.According to the package, dogs 75lbs or more take 3 tabs a day. So, be aware those of us with large dog breeds will receive a 1 month supply as opposed to 3 months for small dogs. I usually assume this, but felt it was worth mentioning. I gave 3 to her and she gobbled them up like treats. She’s not very food motivated, so I took it as a good sign that she liked the taste and smell.Within 3 hours of giving them to her she had cut down on overall body itching and scratching her face. While her face still appeared red, the redness reduced significantly. I will update photos with continued use also.I will continue to update since I don’t feel it’s the most fair assessment in a short period of time, but so far I am very optimistic that this will give her some relief. I know I have done apple cider vinegar drinks for inflammation, so I hope it will work the same for dogs.I did receive this product for free in exchange for my honest review. The opinions stated in this are mine and are not influenced by any other parties. I strive to be as objective as possible and share the good and bad.

Another Favorite For Maggie
Our sweet lab Maggie suffers from what the veterinarian says is contact dermatitis which can cause her to itch and scratch incessantly, especially during spring and summer months when she wants to be outdoors all day if the weather is nice. She is already on prescription meds and antihistamines for her problems but the Smart Fido Aller-Chew appeared to be a product that might be helpful for her. And this pup really likes her treats. As soon as I opened the package, Maggie homed in on the container like she knew it was for her. Perhaps she smelled the chews. Whatever the case, she gobbled her daily allotment down like it was candy and comes running every time someone picks up the container. For what seems to be a fairly small container, it is packed full of heart-shaped treats that will last a month or so at 2 per day. I cannot say for certain that they are helping Maggie but so far there has been no scratching, biting, or licking since she began receiving them daily. In my opinion, these chews are definitely worth trying. My dog loves them!

Odd ingredients
I wish that I had read the ingredient list before selecting this item. Colostrum? Nettle leaf powder? Cane molasses? I don't want to risk triggering allergic reactions from the ingredients. I have no idea how any of the ingredients are supposed to maintain normal immune activity, support skin health, or help with occasional or seasonal allergies, either.Eliminate allergens to the extent possible and talk to your veterinarian about evidence-based, effective treatment if your beloved pet has seasonal allergies!

My Newfoundland is doing well with these!
Our 4 year old Newfoundland had a couple of spots that she would start itching and chew on a little. She doesn't have fleas or ticks, and I thought maybe they were the beginning stages of "hot spots," but they never developed into much of anything beyond being red, irritated skin. We adjusted her food, which seems to help a little, but I took her to the vet to double check and make sure it wasn't something other than allergies. They are minor spots (and just a couple), but still a little annoying to her, and I didn't want them growing into something that could be infected. The vet confirmed she had allergies, but apparently pretty mild at this point. We didn't want to give her shots and extra medicine if it was mild enough that she didn't actually need them, so we had been trying a few things that have been hit or miss. When I got this Smart Fido Smart Fido Aller-Chew 90 Ct Soft Chews for Dogs, I was pretty excited that she would actually eat them (she needs 3, as she is a giant breed dog), as she is really, REALLY picky about food. She gobbles them right up, so I know they must taste pretty good. I've been giving these to her for a week or so, and the spots that bothered her don't seem to be bugging her anymore. No more redness and wanting to lick/chew/scratch on them - yeah! This seems to be doing the trick for her, and I hope it continues to do so from here on out. There's 90 chew tabs in here, so if you have a smaller dog, this would be a 90 day supply. My dog is huge, so this is unfortunately only a 30 day supply - but I'm fine with that, if it keeps working like this. If you have a medium sized dog, this may be a 60 day supply, so be aware of the amount you'll need for the size dog you have.Overall - this stuff appears to work well...at least for mild allergies, anyhow. I can't speak for more severe allergies, and I would definitely not substitute this for vet care for your pet - double check with your vet, especially if your dog is on other medications - but if you know for sure your dog has mild allergies, this one seems to be the real deal and is worth a try.
