It serves my purpose.
I like that it is light wt. and inexpensive. I should've gotten a light color but this is ok. (Black) Dark colors cast a warmer shade so a lighter color would've been better because my canopy poles are not very tall so it gets pretty warm under it. Not sure how long they will last. They are well made but very light wt. so not sure how durable they will be. So far they are holding up well. I have had up for over two months. Part of my veg. garden is still holding on because of the shade. This is Sept. 8 and usually this late in the season the garden is gone due to the high heat here in TX. Some has died due to lack of water but we just got rain finally last week so I will have some garden survive for fall.

UV-filtering & Temperature-reducing For Sure
As some reviewers have said, the fabric is a little "light" or "fragile". I agree, but that also makes for easier handling (especially important during installation if on a ladder), and it allows gusts of wind to pass through without turning the canopy into a sail. Because the canopy fabric is a little "fragile" you shouldn't let it rest against any hard or sharp edges (metal, wood, plastic). Soften or round any hard or rough edges the canopy might come in contact with, and consider placing a soft, buffer material between any hard edge and the canopy fabric itself. The "shadow" that is cast by the canopy definitely reduces the temperature. When in the shadow it feels like a cloudy day. The plants get more than enough UV rays under the canopy (they only need ~10% of the UV rays generated by the sun, and this canopy filters ~60-75%). All in all I'm very pleased with this canopy, and if you treat it with care, I think you too will like it.

Used to shade tomatoes during a heat wave
This was used to provide shade over tomatoes during an extended heat wave. It won’t be used here on a daily basis as some others may do if they live in very warm areas. The mesh allowed it to handle the breezes that came through while it was up. The grommets helped to secure it to the shepherd hooks and other stakes that were used. It’s only been used once for a few days so we can’t comment on its longevity but for our use so far, it’s been very helpful.

Good buy
Durable. I left one out in the northern Midwest winter and it is still in great condition. My laziness tested the value, and it proved to be sturdy. Shades the percentage advertised and I used it for orchids and bonsai, as well as for shading myself as I worked. Lightweight and easy to manipulate and manage. Very stretchy and strong.

Get a better one
If you need it, it's ok. But the fabric started to rip and it's cheaply made. When it's not usable I'll go to the big bix store and get one there with better quality
