It doesn't get any better than this
In an earlier version of this volume I studied it for an entire summer and passed the Master Electrician Exam the first time. That was decades ago.Anyone interested in the trade would be wise to start here. When I teach in this area I go beyond the book and focus on the mathematics and also use the volume Electrical Power System Basics--likewise available from Amazon. Now something people should attend to is there are conflicts between the National Electrical Code and the Code used my the power utility. These have severe consequences for safety. But that is another discussion. But for starters you may want to study the paper "Dangers of Stray Voltage and Stray Currents" by Donal W. Zipse, P.E.

Excellent reference
This book has helped answer the questions when upgrading my 1910 house wiring and properly wiring an outbuilding for heated and air conditioned comfort, as well as powering many pieces of woodworking equipment. Easy to find maximum fill for conduit and boxes. Explains why limits are imposed and how to maintain a safe wiring environment in a house and shop. I use this book in conjunction to "Wiring Simplified" to quickly and completely design and implement a safe solution.

Best electrician's reference!
I was first given a copy of this book in 1977, when I was just a kid starting to dabble with electricity and electronics. Ever since, it's been my go-to guide for electrical wiring. I just purchased this latest edition for a friend's son, who is starting as an apprentice electrician. I recommend it highly for anyone who's interested in doing any home or commercial wiring, and doing it right.

well written
I have used this version and previous versions. The explanations are clear. I am a DIY homeowner that has used this books to wire up small cabin and several house projects.I did find it helpful to, also, hire an electrician to act as a consultant ( paid a small fee only when consulted) when I still wasn't clear on a procedure.

Review of Practical Electrical Wiring
I only use it for researching specific electrical wiring situations, but I consider it excellent. I have for years had the Fourteenth Edition of the same book and updated to this 22nd Edition because the 14th didn't cover Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupters.

Still Good After All these Years
This is the same book that my Dad gave me 37 years ago when I got into the electrical trades. Well, that book was given away a long time ago to someone else entering the trade. We have an apprentice that wanted to start his "book learning" so this was the first book that we thought of for him. It is still has all of the pertinent information in it, easily understood, without going off the technical deep-end. I'd recommend it to anyone entering the electrical trades as a great starting point.

Short of the Code, this is the authority on AC wiring
Totally up to date, easy to understand. The information is presented in lay terms such that you don't need to be a journeyman electrician to understand it. Everything from home to out buildings to farm to factory is covered by this book. Includes tables for everything you need to know to pass inspection.

Great read
Years ago I bought the 11th edition and was always satisfied with my purchase. Just bought the 22nd edition and my only complaint is that it is not hard cover. The information inside is still sound but make sure you check with local codes.
