In the process of looking for an evening gown to wear on a cruise, specifically in plum, I found this one. The style is great for me, because I am 5'6" and slightly long-waisted, weighing about 148.I usually wear a 10 in an evening gown, and this dress runs true to size. When I ordered it, there were no 10's available, so I ordered it in a 12. Even though the 12 was too large on me, it still hug very nicely, and draped perfectly.It is extremely well-made and the fabric is just so beautiful. The lace top is not stiff or scratchy at all. In fact, it is very soft and stretchy and feels very good next to your skin. The sequins is beautifully embedded in the lace fabric, giving it a very sophisticated and elegant look. There are French darts that form the waist-skimming look of the top part, giving it a slimmer look.The skirt has an under layer of solid fabric with an over-layer of chiffon, no gathering. It is very flattering and very slimming. If you have a thick waist or a tummy that you are trying to disguise, this is definitely a dress you should look at seriously. The structure completely hides any issues like that.Even though the marketing photos show the dress well above her ankle, it actually came down to the floor on me. I ordered it in an average length, not the petite, and I needed to remove 2 or 3 inches of length to get it just right. It is indeed a long floor-length gown. The skirt is A-line in shape. but drapes nicely to a slim look.I highly recommend.

Bought this for a Spring wedding. The color is a darker blue than I expected. The fit is perfect for those who like fitted clothes. (My personal preference is for a little looser fit.) I'm not short, 5'7" and the hem hits the floor.

This is my second purchase of this dress. I wore it in Plum as Mother of the Bride then in Wedgewood Blue for my 50th Wedding Anniversary vow renewal and reception. On both occasions I received numerous compliments on how beautiful and flattering my dress was. I love this dress and highly recommend it.

I purchased for a wedding. The lace is comfortable and does not seem to itch and has some stretch. It has some extra room in the bust, but that is normal for me and I will adjust for that. It covers the waist nice and It covers my arms and front modestly. I wish the back came up higher. I am not much for having my back show. However, the back of this dress is high enough to wear a regular bra which is great. I am 5'6" and I will need to raise hem slightly.

I ordered this through the Amazon Prime Wardrobe program. Because I'm still undecided on my dress for my son's wedding, I went ahead and returned this one for the time being. But it's one of the top runners'- up. It's really important to me to be comfortable, covered, and classy for this event. I'm 5'9, and the waist-line is a tiny bit higher than I'd like, to be honest. But I don't think it's going to be a deal-breaker. The only downside, and this isn't the fault of the dress, is this will be June wedding in Texas. The fabric is light, and the dress isn't heavy (though the quality is high), but I'm still thinking that by the time we're dancing at the indoor wedding venue, something this long might be more stifling that I want. I'm keeping it in mind, and while it's a definite "maybe", it's not a bullseye.

My Wife and I do not have date nights all that often, but when we do, we like to make it a special occasion. I saw this dress and it looked so nice that I went ahead and bought it in hopes that it would arive in time. I like to surprise my Wife by dressing up for her on our dates, in a new dress if possible and this dress did not disappoint. I am around 5 feet 8 inches and about 170 Lbs. I like my clothes to be a bit loose, so I bought a size larger than was needed, a size 18, and it fit very well. Anyone of a similar height and weight could easily work with a size 16 or even 14 depending upon measurements. There is plenty of room in the bust, it was a bit loose across the chest, which is okay for me, and cumfortable around the waist. The skirt is quite full as it states in the product description and falls nearly to the floor if heels are not worn and flows beautifully leaving plenty of room for movement. There is a soft inner skirt and an outer chiffon layer that is slick and smooth. With a modest neckline, three quarter sleeves to go along with the long full skirt, this dress is rather modest and demure while still being stylish. My Wife was also rather happy with how this dress looked during our date night as well, adding to an already positive experience.

I think this will be perfect for my daughter's December wedding. Thanks to the reviewer who indicated that its color is more eggplant than plum, because that's the color I was looking for -- and I agree that its color is eggplant. It is light weight but seems well made. It has just enough shimmer on the top to make it dressy, but not so much to be overwhelming. It will have to be hemmed, which I expected, but fits everywhere else perfectly. I am 5'3", weigh 133 pounds and ordered a size 8. I am very satisfied so far, can't wait for the wedding.

pretty color, nice quality, conservative, my husband says a little matronly like the Queen of England would wear, but I needed it for a conservative occasion, so will do nicely. Comfortable, probably won't even have to wear a smoother, and I think it looks moderately slimming. Lace has some sparkle, but not overdone, is tasteful

I liked everything about this dress. In particular, I was pleased that the colour of the material was the same as the picture and the dress was nicely finished off. Perfect length too. I am going to wear this dress for my son's wedding in California in February. Thank you for a speedy delivery. I will enjoy wearing this dress. It's perfect.

The fit was perfect, it’s so comfortable, and I love that I can dress it up or down. I liked the navy one so much, I ordered two more colours! I am bringing the navy one to my daughter’s wedding this Spring in case it gets chilly, it will be beautiful with lovely with my dress. Someone else had mentioned about washing by hand. My washer has a great delicate cycle and I use mesh laundry bags for really gentle items with much luck. I’m going to try that and will let you know how it goes...

Dress was much larger than measurement chart however was very well made and elegant. Color was more grey than purple compared to color in picture. Almost steel grey with hint of purple.

The dress is beautiful, fits perfectly. Purchased as an alternate, didn’t wear due to temperature on the day. Decided to keep dress for future use.
