Great well made and lightweight

Great price for these useful hoops! Even an unskilled sewer can benefit from using these.
My sewing skills are weak. Very weak. But with these locking hoops, a pocket is easy to sew and even get it straight. And you get six variable sized hoops for eight dollars, so it is an excellent value. They hold your fabric securely for stitching, embroidery, etc. Pretty colors, although that doesn't really effect their usage.

Ok
These are ok. I got them for punch needle and I feel like I just can’t get the cloth tight enough like it’s supposed to be. It still works just a little harder to work with.

Love, love, love these hoops!
I absolutely adore these hoops! They're pretty, sturdy and so inexpensive and make your finished product look so cool! I've bought these 4 times and I like to keep a stockpile on hand. The only downside is there is a little bit of a learning curve on how to snap the inner hoop in. It has a little lip that sits in the bigger one. It makes it super secure and tight, but it just takes a little finesse to get it in. Once you get the hang of it though it's easy peasy. Buy these! 😁

Way better than stock hoops. The curved inner rims help a lot.
I was using some old, but decent, hoops for cross stitching, and figured I'd try this multipack on a whim. Super glad I did. I was a bit skeptical because plastic hoops can slip more easily. But fabric doesn't slowly work its way loose in these (or at least doesn't do it easily), because the inner rims are curved - one convex, one concave. They fit inside each other to make a more secure hold. Makes it a bit trickier to snap into place, but you get the hang of it. Very happy with the different sizes, too. If the quality holds up I'll be using these for a long time to come.

Still holding up after 6 years
Been happily using these on and off for about 6 years now (I cycle through hobbies). I will sometimes use a screwdriver to really tighten it down and i haven't had an issue with it stripping or anything. The groove on the inside keeps things pretty taught. I have another set that is smooth on the inside and those dont hold the tension nearly as well (like barely really)

They'll do but not my favorite
When I bought these I was looking for something similar to the hoops I just purchased fromJoann's. I needed a smaller one compared to the 2 I purchased for a smaller project. I was a little leary about these because it was hard to tell if they had the ridge grip I was looking for. They are made with a cheaper, thinner plastic than any other plastic hoop I've ever used. These hoops do have that inner ridge for locking the hoop onto the fabric but because the plastic is thinner and cheaper it is also a lot more difficult to get on new aida cloth. I had to open it a lot further to get it over the inner hoop and fabric. I also needed to lay the hoop on the table in order to press hard enough for the outer hoop to go over the fabric. Because of opening it so far I had a hard time twisting the screw to tighten the hoop. On my hoops from the JoAnn's the screw is stationary and the nut moves making it a quicker and easier process to tighten the hoop. Knowing what I know now about these hoops I would just brave the cold and go to Joann's to get a smaller version of what I already have.

Nice and sturdy
These worked really nice for me. I tried them on one project to make sure they weren't going to break or have issues. All parts were present and in working order. The channel on the inside of the hoops helps to hold the fabric in place as I pressed on it. I compared it to one without and it slipped.
