You didn’t know you needed one until now!
Just spent the weekend testing out my Airwirl! I live in the Pacific Northwest where our summer days are hot (90’s) and our mornings and evenings can be pretty chilly (50’s) and it saved the day more than once. It was perfect keeping me cool, and when my dog got hot, I just placed it right in front of him and he seemed to love the blast of cool air. There is also nothing worse than waking up in the chilly mountain air and having to get out of the tent freezing, so I turned on my Airwirl with the hand warmers inside, stuck the tube in my sleeping bag and it was perfectly toasty for the morning. All in all it was a great purchase and I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it.

Portable Aircon
I purchased this item back in the winter time when i saw it for a good price, well now here we are in summer getting ready for a trip to the beach. I open this up to get it ready, excited because my children and I get overheated quickly. First shame on me I should have opened the box apparently back in the winter when i purchased it to make sure it was accurately in there. I open the box and realize it has a return note in from a previous buyer. I have now obviously exceeded the return window, again that is my fault i will not make that mistake again. Once opened the customer who must have purchased this previously purchased this item had a sticky note enclosed advising that the battery ports were not in the correct locations, one battery slot had positive and negative end the other battery slot had two negatives so it was a defective item. I was able to test it out using the micro usb rather than the batteries since no batteries could operate in this device due to the manufacturing defect. The only way to use it would be to constantly have it plugged in. Once we tried it with the micro usb it was a very light feel of air. My children get better results from a clip on fan on their stroller. I was really excited to try this product as many other HW mothers have raved about it, unfortunately I was disappointed. I will add additional pictures once I am back home.

Fun Gift for Active Moms!
What a fun “Mom” gift! My cousin in Florida has three adorable little kids (all under the age of 5) who love to visit Disney World or Universal Studios, play in their backyard, or visit the beach. However, it gets really hot in Florida during the summer and for the little ones - it can be rough so we sent her a little cool air with Airwirl. They were all excited and she said it’s really safe and easy for her and the kids to use...even their doggy is a fan. I am ordering one for me now to try out with my daughters at the US Open in NYC in August...I’m thinking the pink one!

Works great, needs a bigger air output hole
This product works well BUT it does not give out much cold air. I took my daughter to Disney World last September and I filled them with a about a half cup of cold water and put ice all the way up to right below the styra foam inside. It worked great for my daughter but I had to have 2 of them blowing on her face to cool her down. It only gives a very small shot of cold air blowing on you but the concept is wonderful. I would buy again but the hole for air output needs to be bigger with a stronger motor. Great product, much better when using 2 though.

Good Concept Hampered by a CRITICAL Design Flaw
Read the other reviews for "how well it works" This review is to alert people to a serious design flaw.I received my Airwirl today and after testing it out a few times, I noticed a very critical design flaw in it's construction which is making me return it without further use.CRITICAL DESIGN FLAW: The ONLY thing holding the intake straws to the lid is the styrofoam used for both insulation AND properly directing air flow into the intake straws. DO NOT force the twisting of the lid into the cup if there is ice blocking the intake "straws" from spinning around inside the cup wall! If the lid is force-twisted down into the cup it will compress & eventually SHRED the styrofoam.Even if it's done carefully, making sure not to overfill the cup with ice, the mere wear-and-tear of compressing the styrofoam via pushing the straws through the ice will decay the styrofoam's effectiveness. I don't see this product keeping it's effectiveness anymore than 2 Summers of regular use because of this issue. If they figure out how to mount the intake straws to the lid by a more secure method (i.e. screws) this product will have a much longer lifespan.

Menopause Lifesaver!!!
Being at that “special point of life” where hot flashes have become an issue, this is a God send. I’ve put this by the bed, on my vanity, on the end table, etc, and it cools me without bothering everyone else. The sound is very light. But the best thing, I can put this between the monitors in my office with the cup hidden and just the tube end showing, and within minutes, my office is cool without turning the ac temp lower, making others cold, or causing the power bill to increase. Auto shut off is nice.I have recommended this to all of my friends!!!

Obscenely OVERPRICED!
This is essentially a fan attached to a thermos. The concept is it pulls/blows air from inside the container through the chamber filled with ice cubes to blow cooling/refrigerated air out a nozzle. It does offer a small amount of cooling, like carrying a faux mini-air-conditioner in your hand. But you have to hold it like two inches from your face to feel anything. To all the people expecting this tiny motor to cool like a full-sized AC, you're gonna be disappointed. If you're stuck in a hot vehicle with no AC, this is better than nothing. I carried it on a hot Atlanta day during a jog and the effect is miniscule--more trouble than it's worth. If this were $30 or $40 bucks, it might be worth it. But this device is ridiculously OVERPRICED! Definitely not worth $160.00 bucks. I'll say it again, folks: "It;s just a small battery powered FAN connected to a THERMOS"!
