Breyer Paint Your Own Arabian and Thoroughbred Horse Craft Activity Set

I bought this for a Christmas present for my older sister. She loves horses and has had a few over the years. I thought this would make a fun, quirky gift. Possibly a stress reliever as she has always been artistic (not that it should matter). The package is cute. I wanted to open it but it is shrink wrapped in plastic. ( :o)

If you want to paint your own Breyer horse this is a good set to start with. I got this as a gift for someone who does custom horses all the time so I knew it would be appreciated. And if you want to do something a little more unique you can use acrylic paints of different shades than what is included in this set.

The horse loving little girl this went to on Christmas couldn't wait to get it home so she could start creating her perfect horse! The two horses are small enough for little hands and the details on the horses is done very well. I'm still waiting for a picture of the finished horses! :)

All the pieces in this kit came professionally wrapped and packaged in the box. The paints and brushed were the real deal. No cheap plastic garbage brushes. Nice hair and wood brushes with metal ferrules in 3 sizes. The colors are what us needed for realistic coloring and markings. The included bookletss are very informative. This is for enthusiasts, that it's for sure.

These were purchased for activities at a 9-yr-old girl's first sleepover, and they were not only awesome quality, but amazing and fun for the girls to paint. And, the bonus was that with Amazon Prime membership, they arrived in less than 24 hours, and on a weekend. Seriously. And the cost of shipping was less than 6.00. I'm not kidding and I don't work for Amazon. Wow. BUY THESE!

reese writing, age 7. this is a good gift for horse lovers they will enjoy this horse kit it comes with to horses and paint you can paint it any way you want and it comes with a little book you can look at it to see if you want to paint the horse and the little book shows the colors of the horse that you want to paint this is a good thing to start with for kids who loves horses or ponies

Partially my fault because I didn't look at the measurements. These two horses are only about 6 in long by 5 in high. Very small paddock pals horses. My Breyer collection is all traditional and classic sized horses, so unfortunately they really don't fit well together. I would only recommend this kit to collectors with other paddock pals horses or to those who don't mind the misfits. The paint book is very cool, but I am 17 and I had a hard time getting the highlights and shadings right. I have no problem with Breyer products, but my disappointment was my fault because I did not understand the sizing.

I was skeptical about these, but my daughter got them for christmas. We sat down and painted one after christmas. The book has some detailed pictures and suggestions. We painted the horse together, so it was quality time with my daughter. While we are both not artists, we ended up with a great final product. And every person that comes to our house sees her special pony.Of note, these are much smaller than the 1:12 scale pony, and therefore are smaller than most of the breyer "classic" collections. Therefore none of the saddles fit this pony. While that is a problem, my daughter calls it a teenager, which adds some variety, and it doesn't bother her that it doesn't have a saddle.

Such a fun activity for kids. Realistic design and colours.

Very nice models. The only complaint is that the paint containers are very hard to open. I know that is so it doesn't spill, but it takes a lot of effort to open them. Fun art activity either way!
