Convenient and Efficient
I've been using the Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Lithium-Ion Cordless Heat Gun mainly for applying heat shrink to wine bottle caps, and it has been a great tool for the job. The most striking feature is its cordless design, which offers incredible convenience and flexibility. Being free from the constraints of a power cord allows for much easier maneuverability, especially in areas where an outlet isn’t readily available. In terms of performance, this heat gun definitely does the job well. It heats up quickly and provides a consistent output, which is crucial for precise tasks like sealing wine bottles. The battery life is quite impressive too – I can get about 30 minutes of continuous use from a 4Ah battery, which is more than enough for most projects. This Ryobi heat gun is a valuable addition to my toolkit, especially for tasks that require mobility and ease of use. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and cordless solution for their heat application needs.

Light weight & heats up fast
Limited around the house & garage use has been great. Not a regular user of the device.Heat output has met my needs. Battery life has lasted through any of my small projects. Even my attempt to kill weeds around & on my patio.I have tried using it to kill weeds between patio bricks and it doesn’t work well.

Great Heat Gun… After a Little Drama
Okay, let’s talk about the Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Lithium-Ion Cordless Heat Gun (P3150). When it works (which it now does), it’s an absolute tool dream—lightweight, powerful, and perfect for a variety of tasks. The fact that it’s cordless is a huge win for anyone who hates dealing with tangled wires while trying to heat up materials or strip paint. It’s quick, efficient, and I’m honestly loving how convenient it is for my DIY projects. But here’s the catch: when I first received the heat gun, it was like the universe decided to play a cruel joke on me. It didn’t work. At all. I thought, “Hey, no worries, it’s Ryobi, I’ll just charge it up and get to work.” Spoiler alert: It didn’t work after charging. I checked everything, fiddled with it, and was ready to throw in the towel. After a frustrating exchange process (which, let’s be real, was not exactly fun), I got a new one. This one works like a charm. It heats up quickly, has the perfect temperature for a variety of uses, and I’m back to loving Ryobi as much as I did before. It’s the kind of heat gun that makes you feel like a pro in the garage or workshop. The ergonomics are great, it’s comfortable to hold, and it gets the job done without breaking a sweat. But, yeah, the first one didn’t work—and that little hiccup did take away from the overall experience. I’m knocking off a star for the hassle I had to go through, but now that I’ve got a working one, I’m totally satisfied. So, if you’re in the market for a reliable, cordless heat gun, just make sure you get a good one from the start, and you’ll be golden. 4 stars—would be 5 if I didn’t have to deal with the initial hiccup, but once it’s working, it’s perfect.

Love this and use it daily
Use this almost daily for work. Doesn't quite get as hot as my corded one but not having to lug that and an extension cord around job sites is nice. Works great on lighter electrical heat shrink and gaskets get soft without popping or deforming unlike my corded one. Unlike my corded one though it doesn't do well on thicker heat shrinks. However the portability makes it so much nicer.

Good value
Bought this as a gift. Ryobi usually has a quality for what you are paying. Don’t think it would last in construction for very long but great for homeowners

Very Low Heat & Airflow
I love my Ryobi ONE+ 18V drill, so I thought this heat gun would be a sure win to add to my Ryobi tools to make use of my batteries. I usually use a corded heat gun, but was tired of constantly fighting with the cord around the garage. Unfortunately, this cordless heat gun turned out to be a huge disappointment. It barely spits out any airflow at all, with much less heat than a hairdryer. Other reviews have mentioned battery life is disappointing as well, but I'm not sure I'll find a good use for it to find out. It doesn't have much more heat in it than my breath.
