ASTOUNDING HONEY!
I ordered this honey on a whim after seeing Paul Hollywood make a steam pudding with Heather Honey. It is a fragrant, full-flavored honey like no other I have ever tasted. I almost hate to post this for fear that the next time I order it, I will see the dreaded words- "Back Ordered." I'm off to re-order right now! xxjudy

Mild taste & a good texture
UPDATE: I have been using this medicinally. I get a cold sore on my lip every now and then. I had been buying the very expensive Abreva ointment. What I figured out is that I can dip a toothpick into this honey and apply it to my lip for a treatment. I use it the same way I used the Abreva - basically, the first second that I feel that little itch or tingle - and this works exactly like (or better) than the ointment. Believe it or not, since I started saving and using this primarily for healing (cold sores, burns, and scrapes), I still have the same jar. I even brought it with me when I moved here to the Lower 48 from Alaska. I cannot afford Manuka honey but I have proved to myself that this is pretty good as a medicinal.I was really curious to see exactly how this would taste. I saw several reviews on the internet with different opinions. Some people say this is too sweet while other say it not. I have regularly used Really Raw honey and other raw honey. Tupelo honey is the sweetest I've tasted (almost too much so for my tastes). If I had to rank this one against most other honey (including store-bought table varieties), it would be the least sweet. The flavor is extremely mellow and had a slightly perfume-like finish. It's really different but pleasant.I am trying this because I can't afford Manuka honey & had heard that this type is just as good as far as medicinal properties. At any rate, I do like the flavor of this one. I'm on a low-carb diet so don't eat a lot of bread. I'm just having a teaspoon of this a couple of times a day & the flavor is nice and mild enough to make that enjoyable. I bet this would be delicious on buttered toast & can't wait to try that when I "cheat" this weekend. The one thing I noticed about the label is that this is best kept cool. I know that honey doesn't spoil, so I'm not sure if that suggestion is for texture or what. I usually leave my honey on a shelf, but am keeping this one in the fridge. It doesn't get too "set" even after being in the cool overnight.Really like this one a lot. Will update after I have used this for a while longer & when I can say anything about what it does for my energy level.

Bad product
I just went to open this, and saw that the area around the lid was sticky. When I twisted the cap off, the product exploded out and had a rancid smell. The product does not allow for returns or exchanges, and there was no link for me to contact the company. I spent 30$ and it will just be going in the garbage. What a waste of money. (I would have rather measaged the seller and been civil when settling things, but i am forced to use the review function.)

Leaking jars, still intact, with odd lingering smell
I'm not sure whose fault it is, but when I got these, the jars, while leaking badly, were still intact. The honey is still edible, and while I could probably get a refund/replacement, it's not worth the trouble in my honest opinion.Overall the honey still tastes pretty great, rich with kind of an odd smell that two washings on the jars couldn't get out, but overall nice.I was told by those who like it that it's like a cheaper/better version of Manuka, but honestly? Even without the leaking jars stuff, I still paid less for Manuka over at Costco (<3 them) than for this stuff.Good product, but would not purchase again. I think I'll just stick to my wonderful Manuka.

So good it staggers belief
It is difficult, nearly impossible to get real heather honey and that is a real shame because this is in Sheraton & Alexander's book, "1,000 foods to eat before you die."Opening this jar filled my nose with an incredible perfume. It has an almost indescribable body with a very thick texture,a rich blended flavor that requires small, careful tastes to really enjoy the punch. Single-cut honey is hard enough to find no matter where you live, but this is well worth the hunt. I try not to sound like a gibberer, but honestly, I do not find my expectations exceeded often. I initially hunted this jar down out of curiosity and now I feel like I have a glass jar that comprises all of Scotland, distilled. Many people use this honey for medicinal purposes, claiming it equates Manuka honey, but I won't be trying that out, curious as I am. I will be putting this to work in far more indulgent projects involving my kitchen and fresh bread. If a larger jar emerges, I will be buying it even if I have go back to Meatless Mondays to afford it.
