Entirely satisfactory
Entirely satisfactory. Completely meets my needs for a bit of instrument grease.Amazon asked three questions about the "features" of this grease:1. Value for money? 5 stars. Five little "chapstick" tubes for the price of just one or two? Nice. Extra nice if you have kids in band or orchestra, since such things are easily lost. Theft-by-dog is also a hazard so five are much better than one or two.2. Ease of use? 5 stars. Perfectly easy. The caps do not have any shrink wrapping to slow you down. They pop off easily. Caps click back on securely.3. Flavor? Hunh? No kidding, that's the question. I don't know what flavors y'all are into. I've got no comment to share. No rating, either. As to AROMA, which might come back at you a little when not exhaling, my nose says zero. Zilch. Anyway, even for AROMA, would 5 stars mean it's aromatic, or invisible? No idea. To my nose it's invisible.I hope these brief thoughts are of help to someone. Be well. Make good music.

Turn to Tar
I bought a 5-pack to since I have a few woodwind instruments that I use everyday. The first tube was okay but the second tube turned into a hard and sticky substance that is unusable. I don't recommend this.

Works great
My daughter started to play the flute this year and the rental was in pretty good shape but it was difficult to assemble and take apart. The cork grease here is an excellent value. I did use a cloth to first thoroughly clean the insides of the end of the flute pieces with my little finger as well as the outsides of the sections that would be joined together. This removed a lot of "black" stuff and the grease made it that much easier to put together. I hope she sticks with the Flute (she seems to enjoy it a lot) and has practices a lot. With 5 packs of grease we hope it lasts many years.

Your cork will reach levels of greasiness previously thought unattainable.
If I were a chemical, or fluid engineer, i could probably speak to the preservative qualities of these grease sticks, or be able to place them somewhere along a viscosity scale. But I am not, so when the resident musician claims that they are ""fine", I say you're welcome.

Became sticky!
I've had a tube of Vandoren cork grease for over a decade but needed a few more sticks for my other instruments so went cheap, figuring all cork grease was the same. I don't know why, but after less than a year they had become sticky! The opposite of what it's designed for obviously, so I had to throw them all out. What's left of my old stick of Vandoren, however, is still just fine! I thought all cork grease was the same, apparently not!

Does the trick!
I have been playing tenor saxophone for >20 years, and I purchased this cork grease to apply to the tenor saxophone neck piece cork. It applies very easily (I do use my fingers to massage into the cork)!

Works amazing!
This cork grease is amazing! It works so well for my flute and piccolo. The packaging is a little bit different than advertised but that makes no difference! This grease is an amazing deal for such a good product.

Excellent!
My kids can’t tell me that we don’t have cork grease. This package of 5 will last a good while. I love that this product is made from natural sources and does a great job even on newly corked tenons.....We will purchase again!
