I swam with the cap 2X to date in a 25m lap pool, 1600m each swim. I like that putting on and adjusting the cap doesn't pull on my hair, a good thing. It's a bit looser than I expected it to be. I think I have normal size head with long hair. If I had to swim without googles, (highly unlikely) it could shift during laps. Since I do swim with googles, it says put nicely. I don't like tight fits or caps that fit over my ears, so far, so good!
