This donut cushion inflated easily and feels very sturdy. It is made from thick, heavy duty rubber that holds its shape well. The brass nozzle is solid and gives it a quality feel. It has been comfortable to use and performs exactly as expected. Overall, it is a well made cushion that works great. I enjoy trying new products and putting them to the test in everyday life. I share what I honestly like, what I think could be better, and how each item actually performs after I have used it. My goal is to give you the kind of feedback I would want if I were deciding whether to buy it, straightforward, useful, and based on real experience.

A few months back, I was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and since then, I'd be suffering extreme pain and discomfort. Even with all the doctor visits and drugs, nothing helped. I did so much research, trying to figure out what I could do, only to come to the conclusion that I'd probably need surgery to remove my prostate. Then I thought, what if me sitting on this hard chair every day is what's causing all this? I mean, there's pressure on my rectum and I can't help but think if I relieved that, then I might feel better. So I took a chance and bought this rubber ring cushion. It's only been just over a week since I've started using it, but even in the first few days, I noticed an immediate and HUGE difference! I no longer feel pain and pressure near my rectum. I no longer have bladder and urethra pain. No more constant urination. No more problems. I still can't believe it, but here I am and I feel great compared to how I felt just over a week ago before I got this thing. And to think I was getting myself all mentally prepared for surgery! If only my doctor had thought to investigate the cause of my discomfort, but thankfully, I did. I should have seen much earlier how obvious it is to me now that sitting for too long on a hard surface would cause me to have issues, but now that I've addressed it, I feel like I'm on the road to healing. I hope the healing continues. I think it will as long as I continue to use the cushion. As a side note, I don't inflate it all the way as shown in the picture above. In fact, there's very little air in it at all. It looks flat, but once I sit on it, there's just enough air in it to give me the support and comfort I need, so that there's little to no pressure placed on my rectum or my coccyx.

This cushion is very durable . Its real rubber . Not hard to inflate after you figure out how to do it . Don't try to inflate all the way . Instructions say no more then 3 inches in height . I filled about 2/1/2 inches and thats just right for me . Very comfortable and contours to the shape of my rear end ! You will need to figure out how much to fill it up for your comfort . This is much nicer then I expected it to be . Its bigger then I expected and the opening in the center is plenty big enough for me . I am a small woman 120 Lbs. but it would work great for a larger person too ! I am very pleased this going to be such a help with my problem . I have hemorrhoids and I am sitting very comfortably now . Again this very durable .Real rubber and brass valve . Should last several years if cared for properly . Mine doesn't have any strong odor that some reviewers mentioned . This is a very nice durable inflatable cushion . I highly recommend this product . Happy sitting !

I just got this pillow to help my hemorrhoid pain. First, it doesn't blow up all the way, and when you think you've got it blown up, the air sucks back into your mouth. It doesn't smell like the other reviewers said. Just smells like normal slight rubber smell if you hold it to your nose. It is not comfortable at all though. Don't bother buying......waste of money. Now I have to look for another one and since they are not returnable, I'm crap out of luck. This is the second pillow I've tried. The first was the contoured (hard) molded foam that felt like I was sitting on a hard chair and was really, really uncomfortable. So now I am looking for a plain, foam (maybe something memory) again. What a wast of money.

I must first admit I love Amazon. They just have everything imaginable. I developed an anal tear and hemorhhoids and was recommended by my doctor to get a donut cushion to ease pressure on my rear when I sit at the computer which is hours a day. I went to my local drugstores, hardware stores and department stores to no avail. No one had what I needed. I purchase a great deal from Amazon and said let me check there. And voila, they had many to choose from. I chose this Carex rubber inflatable cushion and am thrilled with it. It more than serves the purpose and is ultra comfortable. With some of these cushions you need a pump to inflate it. Here you just very easily blow it up yourself and it takes a mere couple of minutes. Right away it eased the pressure from my bottom when sitting and also helped my posture get better when sitting which helps my back. My health issues are over but the rubber cushion remains. It is so comfortable that I prefer to sit on it even though my desk chair is comfortable. Also imoportant to note, I blew this up and started using it over 1 month ago andd it has not deflanted at all and I have not had to put any more air in it. And I weigh 280 pounds. So believe me, this cushion is a must and I highly recommend it. Also, what a great price!

I won't lie--I'm a heavy guy (close to 250) who spends a lot of time sitting, and my weight all but destroys the cushions on most desk chairs. I've tried other cushions, including memory foam pillows and foam ring pillows, to alleviate this problem, but in the end they all get crushed too. So after reading reviews here, I gave this a shot. The biggest plus its got going for it is that I can't crush it with my weight; it's got plenty of give, but not so much it gets squashed. Unfortunately it loses big points on comfort. Whether fully or partially inflated, it creates uncomfortable pressure points on the thighs and seems to strain my lower back; it's also wobbly rather than firm (even at full inflation). The doughnut hole in the middle is also just a touch too big, meaning more pressure points form around your bottom. Results, of course, will vary depending on your size; as I'm using it more as a cushion than a ring, I've alleviated some of the problem by putting a thin pillow over the top. Another plus is this is very well made of strong rubber with a solid metal fill valve, so it's more akin to an inner tube from a tire than say, a pool float ring. It will last. Filling it is easy; just loose the cap and blow through the built-in valve. What would have been better though would be to use a flapper valve like is found in air mattresses as well, that drops back to lock in air when you start blowing. As it is you have to be fast or most of the air you just blew in, is going to come right back out. Takes a bit of practice to get used to that. The rubber smell complained about in other reviews is there but after a time, I hardly noticed it; it seems as the rubber warms it becomes slightly stronger, but not overpowering. All in all it's a sturdy ring cushion that will last a long time, but your mileage in use will vary depending on your size, sitting habits, etc. A suggestion for Carex might be to offer the ring with varying size inner rings, as well as the above-mentioned flapper valve to lock in air when filling.

Serves a purpose

Having issues with with my coccyx and tried few different options for sitting in chairs and find this one pretty good half the price of some I’ve tried only small thing is smell of the rubber as the product is made of and inflating is not easy either but the benefits for me out way these minor problems

Item is good if you had some sort of operation or surgery and need to seat on soft also it can be inflated to the level of comfort its good and fit to purpose cheaper than other products in pharmacies

This ring cushion so far has exceeded my expectations. The only similar product available in Burlington Ontario leaked within 1 year of use. After buying 4 of these smelly leaky cushions I decided to search the world for something better, I found yours on the Internet and even though our Canadian dollar is worth much less than yours, the cushion is worth paying the additional costs.
