I almost never review items I buy on Amazon, but this monitor stand is gorgeous; it's a very thick acrylic, sturdy and beautifully designed, giving a modern, timeless look. It's heavy and wide enough to accommodate the base of my monitor, which is fairly large/wide. There's room to spare for a scratch pad, pens, etc., so it actually created more usable space. It's a great height and came packaged impeccably, not a spec or scratch anywhere. Great price compared to the others I considered on this site. Huge improvement over the stack of books I was using as a monitor stand before.

Just received this and I’m impressed by how sturdy it is. And it’s beautiful. I ended up placing my existing glass riser, which isn’t wide enough for my laptop to fit under, on top of this. Now I have space for my laptop on the bottom, which frees up desk space. Love it!

I bought this so my cat would stop trying to sit on my keyboard and let me work. It certainly covers the keyboard but now the cat sits between me and the riser. It functions as intended and is good quality.

I love this shelf! It is very thick and sturdy, and it has rubber/plastic on the bottom to help it stay in place and to protect the desk. I bought it because our new kitten kept stepping all over my keyboard. This works perfectly! I can still type while the keyboard is under the shelf, although my hands aren't quite in a normal position. It fits nicely over the keyboard with about 1/2 inch of room on each side. The shelf is also great for setting a notebook or paper on while I'm working at the computer. I highly recommend this product.

I'm giving 5 stars to this clear acrylic monitor stand that keeps your cat from stepping on your computer keyboard, yet lets them think they're successfully in your way! It's super thick and durable, and it doesn't bend like I've seen reported by reviews for other monitor stands. The cat shown is my 15-pounder, and he has no effect on it. In fact, I use it on my standing desk, and I find myself leaning on it with no bending. The inside dimension is 19-3/8", so my 17-1/4" keyboard fits under it with room to spare, but not enough room to include the mouse. It does scratch easily, and my knuckles do touch the bottom of the stand sometimes, so I will put spacers under it if it ever becomes a problem. The feet have a nice silicon base that will keep it from scratching, and doesn't slip when the cats jump off. It must seem too slick for the cats' taste, because they won't voluntarily jump on it - I have to put them there. As long as it keeps them from sending gibberish to my Messenger feed, win/win!

I love my cat, but she loved walking on my keyboard while I worked. This was the perfect solution. I can still work, without her typing her own sayings, like rrrrrrrrrr or xgyujjffghjh, I don’t think she was exactly pleased, but it sure makes things easier for me!

This seems very sturdy. It's thick and has anti-slide things on the sides. It's just right to cover my keyboard yet allow me to use it. The cat can walk across the top, but can't hit the keys anymore, which was what I wanted. It remains to be seen how scratched up it will get from his claws.
