leather Hand crafted one band at a time! One-size fits all with easy adjustment method. Just punch a hole at the size of your hat, and trim excess leather strap off, for a custom perfect fit. Replacement hat band strap will fit any hat. This band is curved to fit your hat better with less effort to lay flat on your hat. It is not elastic - fits custom to your hat, if you want you can attach it with a drop of hot glue or double sided tape, but it is not necessary since the leather naturally sticks to the felt or straw with no need for anything else to hold it on, making this the easiest interchangeable hat band for simple hassle free changing to another style of band according to your occasion. Nothing changes the look of your hat faster than a new hat band! We recommend ordering more than one to interchange depending on the occasion! Will fit the largest hat to the smallest hat because it is generously long, you just trim it down to fit precisely to your hat. One size will fit any hat. 1" wide 100% Top Grain pull-up Cowhide this listing is for 1 hat band (not a hat).

Hat band,,,
Hat bands would fit that hat better if they had just a simple slide buckle similar to those on adjustable baseball caps...

Ideal
I wanted a replacement band for my wool hat and saw this one here on Amazon. It was the exact style I was wanting. It looks like it was there the whole time. The ability to put your own hole and to be trimmed a bit ensures the band looks designed for where it will go.Plus, the new band is s bit wider than my original, so there is no awkward faded line between the new band and the hat, which was important to me.

Not for big heads....
Don’t be a dummy. At no time did I think the listing was for an actual hat. It is listed as a hat band. If you can’t figure that one out, well…..On to the actual product. I didn’t quite get it. First of all, it’s not for big heads. I wear at least a 7 ¾ and I was trying to replace a band on a Dorfman soaker hat, XXL. Wasn’t within an inch and a half of connecting. Secondly, I am not sure how I would have attached it if it had fit. The smaller strap with the buckle doesn’t have any holes to buckle. Yes, I could have punched holes but since it didn’t fit I didn’t have to. Overall just not a good fit for what I needed. The overall quality was OK, it was a nice piece of leather despite no stitching on the sides, which it didn’t show so I didn’t expect. Overall, not something I would recommend.

Nice quality and look. Use cuticle scissors to solve the"no holes" problem
Nice quality band that looks great. I will say this would've gotten a lower rating had I not read the earlier review about creating a hole with cuticle scissors. Saved me a lot of time and frustration.

A plastic strip with shredded leather scrap glued to the inside
For 13 dollars, this is NOT a good value. While the material you’re getting might be technically “leather”, it’s not what you’re expecting. What this strap is made of is more or less the refuse or leftovers from leather production. This is what’s considered bonded leather or split leather. The first of which is shredded leather bits that are glued back together to look like the corium of a leather sheet (the fuzzy part, like suede). What they then do is glue a sheet of shiny plastic or rubber on top to make it look like the smooth appearance of top grain leather. So In effect, what you have is a strip of plastic to put around your hat with some leather scraps glued onto the inside that no one ever sees, just so they can advertise to you that it’s “real leather”

It’s 3/4” wife not 1” wide. Here’s why that may matter to you:
The hat band is not 1” in width. It’s 3/4” in width. That may matter to you if the band you are replacing has left a mark on the hat. You’d be able to see that old band mark because this band is not as wide as the former one.
