This pillow is simply amazing... Much better price than the BIG Mattress brand!
I have been a restless sleeper for a long time. I tend to begin on my back and through the night toss, turn, move erratically and end us on my back, but only after going through 100 different movements throughout the time. I never felt completely rested. I also often woke up with headaches and body aches. I bought and adjustable memory foam mattress and tried memory foam pillows in the past, but nothing seemed to completely help. Then while shopping for a mattress for a friend I layed on a iComfort mattress that included a pillow very similar to this, but to my shock the pillow was priced at almost 4 times the price of this one. About the pillow: Its obviously made of memory foam. Some have described the smell of memory foam that often takes time to air out. I have never experienced this with ANY memory foam I've ever purchased. Sometimes there is a very slight smell, but it's so slight I don't notice it after a few minutes. So all I can say is... it didn't smell! It's smaller in width than a normal pillow and at first seems kind of flat and firm. I expected it to be hard to sleep on. It does conform to your head like any memory foam pillow, but it was much firmer than expected. The curve fits your neck so nicely and you don't know it once your using it, just that it feels like it fits naturally to my head. I am slim, 135'bs 5'9" and it truly felt like it was just for my neck and head... felt great from that respect. The cover on the pillow is very well made and comfortable. I did use a regular pillow case once and while it didn't affect the feeling of the pillow, I like the form-fitting case that comes with it so much i decided to use that alone. One thing I did notice when I removed the cover to clean it (it washed and dried with no issues whatsoever), the foam that is visible under the sewn on cover seems to have lots of little divets and "holes." I only noticed this on what I was using as the "back" of the pillow. Even still I'd say it looked like swiss cheese, but in the even I turned it over and layed on that side and didn't feel any of it. I don't think it would have any effect on the pillow, I think it's just a process of the foam making process. Not a concern at all. The first night was amazing. As I mentioned, it seemed hard at first. It did soften up with body heat in very little time, but is still a firm pullow. I laid on my back and was out like a light in possibly less than 5 minutes. I've never had trouble falling asleep, so this seemed normal. What wasn't normal is that I woke up 6 hours later, without waking up through the night once. This was amazing. I also woke up completely awake and feeling more rested than any other nights sleep. It was graet. I also noticed when I got out of bed I hadn't completely mutilated my sheets and comforter. I just flipped the corner back down and it was like I had just made the bed. So far so GREAT! Each night after has been the same with a slight exception that I have been waking up at most once a night. I still wake up feeling rested and wide awake in the morning. If I do wake up once in the night I can easily fall asleep again. I start out sleeping on my back and notice that I stay on my back for much more of the night if not the entire night. I did notice that I turned to my side through the night one or two nights, but it felt just as comfortable and it didn't include a lot of tossing to get to that comfort/ position. I really can't believe how much I love this pillow so far. It's been only about a week but it's been consistent and comfortable. I've recommended it to a few friends and would recommend it to anyone else. It's a very inexpensive test to see if it works for you.I will update if anything changes in the future! Buy it, you deserve it!

Better than "My Pillow". This is now my pillow.
This pillow does what My Pillow claims to do but fails. I find that my head sinks into the My Pillow which isn't supposed to happen. This pillow is comfortable and my neck and head do not hurt when I use it. I am not waking up several times a night anymore to readjust my pillow like I did with that useless "My Pillow". I do not have a problem with an awkward neck position anymore. At first, I was concerned that my ear was hurting after sleeping with the Versacurve for 2 hours the first night. I saved the packaging in case I had to send it back. I am glad to report that this only occurred that very first use of the pillow just after taking it out of the plastic wrapper and it has been comfortable and painless ever since. I also like the rounded edges that make it easy to roll my arms around it without having to put my arm under it for a comfortable sleeping position.

Gave this a solid try for a month. Wish I had sent it back.
Initially this pillow provided the neck and shoulder relief that I needed for side sleeping. Regular pillows just weren't cutting it anymore. But after the first couple of nights I was no longer getting that relief no matter which way I slept or turned the pillow. It just didn't support my head and neck or relieve pressure on my shoulders while sleeping. Life is too short to suffer through mediocre sleep; if this doesn't work for you like it's supposed to, send it back. I wish I had.

Good support for side sleepers
I first came across this pillow quite a while ago, read the reviews (mostly positive) and almost bought it, when I saw one review that stated unequivocally that this pillow went soft after lying on it for a while. I made the decision then not to get it, but now bought it anyway because the curved shape made a whole lot of sense to me. Here are my comments in no particular order: PROs: - The shape. I am a side sleeper and this curved "cut-out" cradles my neck and helps keep my head in a good and stable position. It also prevents my head from "collapsing" onto my shoulders. After two cervical disk surgeries I have learned the hard way to make this a priority. - Flippable. Unlike contoured pillows, this one can be turned over. A good thing because it gets hot (See Cons below). - Not too heavy. It can be easily turned and is not a weighty monster to fight with - important in the middle of the night when one is sleepy. NEUTRAL: - Firmness. I find this pillow to be a bit on the firm side. It definitely does not go soft or give too much. It is almost a tiny bit too firm for my taste but strangely enough I have had not trouble with aches and pains after sleeping on it. - Height. This pillow is rather high. In conjunction with the firmness this might be too high for quite a number of people, especially shorter people or people with narrow shoulders. Both of these points, however, very much also depend on what mattress a person sleeps on: The softer the mattress, the more the body will sink in and consequently the higher the pillow will feel. It is probably a better suited pillow for firmer mattresses, but this is just an assumption on my part. My current mattress is quite soft and this might be why I perceive it as high.. CONs: - Temperature. It gets hot! Just another foam pillow that promises revolutionary temperature control and cannot deliver. But none of these pillows out there stay cool, despite all the lofty promises, and I have had tons of different ones. They all get uncomfortably hot at night. But at least it can be flipped over to get some short-lived relief from the other side... - If you prefer a cover on your pillow, be prepared for some unsightly bunches as the unique shape is not conducive to regular pillow covers. I don't mind it that much as long as I sleep OK but wanted to mention it for completeness. CONCLUSION: Despite the subjective feeling of "too high and too firm", I have yet to wake up with a headache or other pain from this pillow. I actually find it quite comfortable. However, I noticed that it also seems to make my hands/arms fall asleep more than before. I will have to monitor that some more but as of now I am quite happy with it. Minus the heat, of course :-)

Sleep better with the VERSACURVE side sleeper pillow
At first I wasn't too happy with this VERSACURVE pillow because it is a much firmer pillow than I'm used to using BUT I continued to use it and after having it for about a month I ordered another one! Yes, it's FIRM but it makes side sleeping so much more comfortable. No more aching shoulders or stiff, hurting neck when I get up in the mornings. I highly recommend this pillow to side sleepers AND back or stomach sleepers. The price was reasonable for a good pillow, too.

Sleep Innovations Versacurve Memory Foam Pillow
This pillow is to die for. The comfort is semi soft to medium which is perfect. The curve helps my neck be supported because it allows me to sleep in any type of position without being uncomfortable. The size, look, and foam is put together perfectly for a good nights sleep. I no longer wake up groggy and with back and neck pains. The memory foam is still the same as when I first bought it which is amazing! It also works well when sitting up on the bed to prop up against the headboard, very comfy. No negatives about the versacurve!

Tried to replace an older version - New One's hard and very inconsistent! Sadly disappointed!
OK, I think we've all been there... searching for that "perfect" pillow that we just can't seem to find. Well I found it - at least for me. I grew up on down pillows so I still like the softness and find most memory foam pillows hard as a rock despite how much they "conform" to my head/neck. As I got older though I saw a chiropractor who convinced me I needed one of those camel hump pillows (you know the ones - larger hump on the front and smaller on the back? The ones that are supposed to fit everyone's neck and make us all sleep in "perfect" alignment? Well... about a year into that fiasco I learned that there are "sizes" to those pillows and one needs to be "measured" to find the right one... did that... still awful pillows to me. So.. begin the hunt! First I tried a pillow from Kohl's because I could actually "feel" it inside the box it came it. It felt softer than most so I tried it. It was actually pretty good but after about a year I kept fighting with it. You know the drill, wake up, reposition, sleep, turn over, wake up... and so on. If I didn't have my arm under the pillow it wasn't high enough to support my neck so I actually thought about adding another couple of inches of memory foam under it but finally decided that was ridiculous. After reading reviews I decided to try the other curved pillow on Amazon, the green "mint" smelling one but it too was much too high for me and although the foam gave quite a bit it just wasn't quite right. So... back I came and since I liked the idea and comfort of the curved pillow I read the reviews here. A bit mixed BUT... what the heck, time to try another pillow. Well... let me tell you it's amazing! First of all the cover is a brushed sort of suede that feels very nice. I added a pillow case and the first night I lay my head down and went ahhhh wow, comfy foam, conforming, soft and gentle. So I stuffed it under my neck and didn't need to prop it up with my arm underneath. Gee a free arm.. how exciting is that!!! So, I woke up the next morning thinking that I had slept pretty darned well and I was ready to give it another nights test. Well I did... and I definitely liked it. So, I'm back today to buy another one so that I never have to go without... So, if you are still searching and you are a side/back sleeper who hasn't found the right camel hump pillow, or still think down is too soft, or just want to try something new, I would strongly encourage you to give this one a try. I'm very glad I did! UPDATE: Like some others here I have an older pillow and wanted to buy one to replace it - I tried once before but I received one that was MUCH harder than the first. Well I'm here to report that having tried again to find the same pillow - I got another HARD pillow that is NOT what I wanted! Buyer beware! If you love your soft older pillow you best keep it as these new ones are very inconsistent and much harder than the old ones.

This is rather a hard, stiff, and a heavy pillow for my head.
I gave this 2 stars because everyone has different needs for pillow comfort. Plus, my husband seems to like this pillow. This is the heaviest pillow I have ever held in my hands. This is rather a hard pillow for my head, and a little high on a regular mattress. As for the product and material, the material is soft, and it is nicely made, all around, with a type of HD memory foam. It will last a long time and it won't wear out for a long time.. HD memory foam is a harder type of memory foam, and polyurethane foam is a softer type of foam. I am not a chemist, but this is a heavy thick memory foam, possibly a HD memory foam. I can't sleep on this, because it's not soft to lie my head down on this pillow for sleeping comfort. It does work nice while watching TV in bed, for awhile, until my head gets the headache. It's hard to read all the reviews, especially when there are so many mixed reviews about this pillow. This pillow had a lot of good reviews, but you can't believe all of them. I like a soft pillow and a light weight pillow, because I sleep on my side and cuddle with my pillow. You cannot cuddle with this pillow. I need a new pillow for my neck. I have issues with a stiff neck, after a bad night of sleep. I was in a pretty intense car accident about 12 years ago, and had a serious whiplash and dislocated jaw. My ears need to be on a soft pillow, or I wake up with sore ears. Now my husband, he likes this pillow, he sleeps on his back more than I do. My husband had an accident when he was 18, and his neck an upper back were injured. He says it helps his neck, after sleeping on this pillow. He's a big guy, and the heaviness, thickness, and stiffness doesn't bother him. Everyone has their taste for this pillow. Since we bought a new memory foam mattress, just a week ago. It does help a little bit, to have a higher pillow on this type of mattress. I will try sleeping on this pillow, since we bought the new memory foam bed. If it is still too much for my head and uncomfortable, I will just find another pillow at a store. I guess I need to feel the pillow and feel the softness and weight, at a store. I have to find a decent pillow for my neck, and for lying on my side. I have issues driving 20 miles to shop around. I already have a major back problem, and it's hard for me to go shopping with my back and walking around with pain in my low back and running down my leg. I love shopping online with Amazon. It is the nicest way for me to locate items for the house. I have tried a memory foam pillow at a bed store that sold tempurpedic beds. They had a pillow that was awesome and it was really soft and comfortable, and fit my neck just right. It would be the right height for our new mattress. That pillow cost $130 in that bed store, and a bit much for my taste in a pillow. That's what I'm looking for, a pillow like the one in that bed store, or something close to it with neck support. I really do not want to spend that much on a pillow. A FEW DAYS LATER: Ok, I tried to sleep on this pillow one more time, after our new memory foam mattress was delivered an set-up. It is better to use, height wise, for this type of mattress for sleeping, but I just can't get comfortable to fall asleep. I tried, but my head hurts lying down on this pillow after awhile. I had to pull out my old regular, dependable, and soft pillow to fall asleep on. But my old pillow, is just to low for this mattress. I just want a new pillow, so my neck isn't hurting. I don't need to have my head hurting while trying to go to sleep. This is just not my kind of a pillow. It's too heavy, too thick, and no give. You can't cuddle with this pillow, it's pretty thick, no movement, and just heavy and hard. Your head barely puts a dent into this pillow, no soft cushion. Read how much the pillow weighs before buying a memory foam pillow, like this one. I didn't pay attention to the weight on the product info, when buying this pillow. If you like stiff pillows, and want something that is stable for sleep, this is your pillow. This pillow will last a long, long time, and it is a sturdy pillow. I tried to sit on this pillow, and my rear hurts sitting on this pillow. Why didn't they put some softness into this pillow for comfort.

... thought for the price this may be not as good as my last beloved pillow
I thought for the price this may be not as good as my last beloved pillow, but after one night sleep my neck pain was gone. It could be a little high for some people, but it seems to fit perfectly for me.

Great Night Sleeps Ahead
I never understood what a good night sleep was until I purchased this. I hit the pillow and I'm out. Also seems to hold onto the "cool" side of the pillow for a decent amount of time. Just don't fold it or anything because it will quickly ruin it.

Just OK
I bought two of these pillows. One of them is already going soft. The other seems to be holding up so far but I don't understand why the other is not as firm. Other than that, the pillow is very high quality. The memory foam is inconsistent. I like that it has a 5 tear warranty but I am just too lazy to return the soft one.
