KEEP BOTH YOUR LEGS HEALTHY ! USE COMPRESSION STOCKINGS (read for more deatils)
If you read this entire review, I would love to hear what you think and if you had any past experiences with compression socks/stockings, that way I can hear other people's thoughts from other fields of work. So leave me a message or an update.I want to state that these unisex stockings are actually made for everyone (male and female) that works standing up for extended periods of time no matter your field of work. Not just nurses but teachers, flight attendants, chefs, doctors, athletes, literally anyone who stands for a living. Listen theses are unisex stockings and yes both female and males nurse and even non nursing people should wear them. Nursing is hard and after just 5 years as working as an ICU / O.R. nurse ( yes I work in two different departments) my back and legs have taken a beating. Standing for hours on end. I love being a nurse but it has taken me a very long time to learn how to take care of my health and my legs. So now I want to pass on what I learned from my fellow nurses. Let me start off by saying they are made of excellent material ( tough and resistant) although I first said to my self they look a little dainty but I gave them a try, after tons and tons of peer pressure from my fellow O.R. nurses to give it a try. Ok I have been a runner all my life all thru high school and now as a nurse my legs mean everything. I started to notice that I started to develop small little spider veins down by both my inner ankles. I just thought this was a normal thing that happens until some of my nurses noticed my ankles and they quickly advised me that this could lead to varicose veins later on down. On the recommendation from all of my nurse work colleagues I decided to try the Biester Compression Stockings Black XL a try. Am 5'10 170-175 LBS. Although thigh highs are definitely not my style not even in a million years , I will say this my legs don’t hurt and plus now I wear my nurse clogs ( I also learned the benefits of wearing clogs from other well experienced nurses) Of course I don’t wear them outside of work but then again I practically live at work and go visit my house occasionally ( LOL ). My feet and legs feel great after my shift (12 to 14 hours). Listen take it from me your health is more important than just dealing with the pain and leg restlessness. These thigh highs give me the right amount of compression (20mm-30mm) and they are thin enough that I can wear my Dansko clogs all day with no problems at all. These thigh highs with clogs are very widely used among almost all my nursing coworkers. I am also wearing another brand of (20mm - 30mm) compression stockings every once in a while too. At the end of the day what is more important to you they way they look or your health and comfort of your legs ? Give these Beister compression stockings a shot, at the end of your nursing career all you will have left is your health and your memories from nursing, your going to need your legs to be healthy. To all nurses "Be your best, do your best and stay in the best shape you can !After hearing, reading and talking it over with all my nurse / doctor coworkers I wanted to add this update concerning the fact that some people may get a rash. Not all my coworkers got a rash, some adapted just fine with no rash or irritation at all it all depends on your body. Yes both male and female surgeons and O.R. nurses wear them in the O.R. plus it helps keep you warm in the O.R. every O.R. nurse knows how cold it gets. This update is for everyone that has used these Beister compression stockings or any other brand of compression stockings and got a rash because of the silicone dots on the top band, again not everyone will develop a rash. I also developed a rash but it was very light, some other nurses that I know had a more pronounced rash. However it does go away after a few days. when your skin adapts to wearing it unless your allergic to it. A medical professional or unless you know already can tell you if you have an allergy to it, so keep that in mind. I along with many of my coworkers have used some creams to help soothe the rash. Since the rash went away ( took me about 1 1/2 to 2 days for the rash to heal, some coworkers took up to 3 to 4 days). I have been using these stockings daily for almost 1 year and I have been rash / irritation free since that initial first rash. I and several other nurses have all used a bit of hydrocortisone cream on the rash but again every "body" is very different from everyone else. So DON'T use any cream or other therapy your not familiar with or has not been medically prescribed to you and always consult a medical professional to see what is best for your body. After a few days your legs (thigh area) will get used to wearing them all day. So just be aware that some people might develop a rash. One more thing, you need to learn how to put theses stockings on and you need to know where to put them on your leg (meaning were you need to position them ) so that they don't slip down. A lot of people complain that they slip down during the day but if you don't put them on right then you will definitely have issues wearing them. Don't let that discourage you from wearing these or any other compression stockings. If you have any questions or tips leave me a message.

Updated: Outstanding customer service from Beister!
Updated 1/20/24: Beister CS reached out to me when my original review was published and offered me a full refund. They really stand behind their products! As I stated in my original review, these compression thigh-highs are excellent quality, and if your legs and feet are shorter than mine, you'll probably be very happy with them. I will be using my refund to try their open-toe thigh-highs. Thank you, Beister!Original 1/17/24 review with subject: Excellent quality, but may squeeze your toes painfullyI'm 5'9" and 145 lbs. Based on my leg measurements and especially my very long legs (cA 10"; cB 15.5"; cC 19.5"; cD 27"), I ordered the XXL. Out of the box, they appeared too large, but they do seem to fit OK. The top band reaches several inches above my knee, which another brand did not. Although that band is not super snug on me, I don't have a problem with the stocking slipping down because I rub a bit of lotion all over my legs before putting the stockings on. This makes the skin grippier, and the stockings stay in place. My problem with these stockings is that they retract over my toes as I move around and they squeeze my toes painfully after 20 minutes of wear, even though I'm careful to leave slack in the toe area when putting them on. I ended up having to cut a small hole along the toe seam where the worst pain is and wearing an ankle sock underneath. So I returned one of the two pairs I bought. If I buy again, I'll try their toeless version (though I'm sceptical that they will stay in place). The stockings do feel absolutely wonderful for those first 20 minutes though--excellent support!Pros:1. Very study and supportive fabric that seems extremely durable.2. Do not slip down, at least if you lotion your legs first.3. Good length.Cons:1. The fabric over the toes retracts and squeezes the toes during wear. If your toes are sensitive to pressure, this can be very painful.2. I do wish they came in Tall sizes.3. The sizing chart is somewhat confusing, with so much range overlap.

Comfortable and Effective – A Lifesaver for Edema & POTS Relief!
As someone who deals with POTS and Edema, finding reliable compression stockings has been a struggle. These are a game-changer! They stay put thanks to the silicone dots, and the 20-30 mmHg compression really makes a difference without feeling too tight. I can wear them comfortably all day, and they still look great even after weeks of use. Highly recommended for anyone who needs reliable, durable compression stockings for health conditions or just general support. They’ve been such a great addition to my daily routine!Make sure to take your measurements to get the right size. If you're between sizes, opt for the larger one. I was wrong on the first pair, but returning and replacing was super easy.I am short, 5'1" with a 29" inseam, these go right to the very top of my leg. There is a bit of excess fabric in the toe and heal seams. I tend to be very sensitive to this and thought it bother me, but it hasn't been an issue, unlike with regular socks.

Size
I purchase several compression stocking a year. saw that these were less expensive and thought I'd try them. Quality is pretty good but the sizing is not. Way too short and does not come as high as in the photo or as other brands at the same size. It also started to slide down the first day where other brands won't do that until the elasticity started to give.
