This matteress has lasted us forever! Its actually a nice dark black.. The picture online makes it look lighter. Its comfortable too :D

I call this the "Spare Bed of Broken Backs." I had to use this recently when my grandmother came for a three week visit. After about two hours THE FIRST NIGHT, my back was in knots. The cover that comes with it is cheap polyester and is not removeable. I did let it air out for a week after it arrived, to allow the compression from packing to refluff the darn thing. No complaints about any foul odors, but it does not offer any kind of support at all. I'm not a huge person, nor am I a princess on a pea. This is a godawful thing. I'd throw it away, except that my brother in law is coming for his annual visit, and it might just dissuade him from staying too long. If it does that, I'd give it five stars, but if you need something to sleep on, this is not at all comfortable.
