Plusses and Minuses - overall good (NOT momentary BTW)
We got these for a small Christmas Tree and having spares always nice.PROSWorksGood clickOK to installCONSNo instructionsCrimping harder than expected - suspect it will not handle rated 10A unless solderedNeed more tools than typical 'roller' in-line switch2 halves & press-together. Not sure how easy it'll be to take apartTo Install :Tools - wire cutter, stripper, common screwdriver, molars (pliers preferred)- cut one leg (smooth) of wire and separate wires about 12mm on each side- strip ~5mm from each end- tuck a bare wire in terminal- crimp or solder wire/terminal ( I used a screwdriver on table-top to crush terminal - suspect there's better way)- repeat for other end- carefully TEST switch, being careful not to touch exposed wires- if OK install cover with pliersThankfully worked first try and happy with price/quality of product.

Kind of problematic, you will need to solder
I could not find a punch that would flatten the crimps inside, so I had to solder the wires in place. Soldering did not deform the plastic, even though it took a few seconds for the internal shiny plated to take the solder. Fit was a bit tight even with 18ga lamp cord. There is strain relief once the halves are pressed together. I think the device is safe, be sure to cut the break on the hot side of the cord if it is polarized. The device is slightly curved, so if you want to stick it on something, you will need to shim it in the center with an extra layer of double sided tape or something. As others have pointed out, you might want to pay a bit more for a higher quality switch that can possibly assemble without soldering. It's OK for my uses.

Good little switch for the money.
I bought them because they were cheap and I guess I got what I paid for but it works. The design was a little odd, I suppose the designer thought it was really special. I didn't want to solder right on that plastic case so I used a punch to crimp the connectors and that worked ok. It was a tight squeeze getting the case halves together but again, It worked. These switches are ok for light duty but won't accomodate anything more than 16awg lamp cord.

Difficult to hook up!
Wanted inline switches for hot melt glue guns. Very experienced solderer but the switch refused to take solder. Ended up half destroying two switches with soldering iron heat. After final assembly had to reopen them several times to bend the internal contacts to conduct the current. Of course no instructions as an alternative to solder.

No screw terminals
The switch and the mechanism looks good. But there's no screw terminals for the wires that is a surprise. That's why the pictures show what's inside. It's some sort of clamp. If you have thicker wires for lamps it will probably work. It doesn't work for thin electronic wires.

Cheap plastic parts, but does the job.
I did not expect much from these switches. They are pretty flimsy and the design is for a very specific use with common wire thickness/size. However, I am quite satisfied. They worked fine in my application.

Meh. Just okay.
Five for six dollars so what would I expect? I thought it would be a little better quality with actual brass terminals and screws. Instructions are in the product description and are easy enough. I should have credit before the purchase and I would have seen the products limitations. It pays to read! I have learned my lesson. The plastic is very thin and I doubt will be very durable. But for a simple install for the short term, it is fine.
