MUST HAVE for Potters or artists or anyone worried about clogging pipes.
This is a MUST HAVE for any one who is concerned for sediment collecting in their pipes. This works great for collecting clay or any sediment really. if you are any type of artist or crafter or anyone who has to wash items in the sink and you are worried about clogging the pipes then you need this. This collects all the sediment. great for potters because the clay can clog your sink and back up the pipes; this solves that issue. it was easy to install. it is easy to empty. it comes with two containers so you can replace the one while you clean the other. these are reusable so you just have an extra one at all times. you can see on the container when its full and you just empty.

Easy to Install Good Fit
I needed the Gleco trap as I do pottery and use a bucket in my utility sink for washing clay tools, etc. Some clay always still get down the drain. So I have wanted a trap for a long time. Initially I was worried that I would have to do a lot of fitting as my drain was not out the back wall, as shown in Gleco trap diagrams and picture. My drain was in front down through the floor. All the pvc pieces for the old drain were glued and fitted to the old configuration. However when I put all the Gleco pieces together everything fit without having to cut any of old fitted pvc or adding any additional pieces. Setup worked and had no leaks. First time in a long time that a did a simple plumbing job and did not have to call a plumber. Still use the bucket in the sink to catch to big pieces, then dump bucket outside.

Great alternative to a dedicated "clay sink"
I have a home pottery studio, so dealing with clay is a daily business. I would always worry that I was going to clog our garage sink with clay from my cleanup, even when taking precautions like cleaning inside a bucket (to catch the larger particles). So, I installed this Gleco trap, replacing the existing U trap. Installation was a bit tricky on my sink, I didn't have the exact setup shown in the instructions. It would have been super easy to install if I had, but three trips to Home Depot later I was able to get it installed. Now I still use a bucket when cleaning my clay tools, but now I don't have to worry about clogging the drain if some clay sneaks out. I also clean my glazing tools directly in the sink. I can see the sediment collecting at the bottom of the attached bottle, so it is definitely working. And swapping out the bottles is pretty easy. Dedicated clay sinks can cost almost a thousand bucks, so this is a much better alternative that saves you a lot of money and headache.

stops clogging in plumbing
Used to stop clay sediment from clogging my drainage pipes in my clay studio. Works very well. Installation required some extra PCP PIECES as my plumbing setup was not standard. But, it was an easy fix. I am very pleased with the results.

Great replacement!
Replacement bottles fit the plaster sink trap just like we needed them to! Makes life so much easier than the old way of using a bucket!

Not very strong, rubber is loose
The first time I had to empty the reservoir, I had difficulty to remove it. I turned al the tubes and was afraid to break them or would get some leakage. To put the reservoir back is also difficult to get the rubber in at the right place.
