My phone flew out of a moving golf cart in the middle of the road 3 days after I put the case on and I expected it to be totally shattered but there was only a small dent/scrape in the gold part of the case. My phone was totally fine & I was impressed. BUT have already replaced it twice. It is very simple and elegant and looks quite professional (extra win - the green is my college color). Unfortunately, the small clips that hold the top and bottom onto the main part of the body will snap off. The current one made it from May-to-December before giving up the ghost this time. Did I drop it? Once (maybe twice) - the case got a wee scratch but the phone was fine. And I am not taking the case on and off - it just happens. It turns out that 8 months is also the length of time it takes for the powder coat to begin to wear along the edge. I am going to be honest, I am buying two more to stick in my Christmas stocking. I use my phone daily and pretty much all the time during the day... at 6 cents a day, it's a pretty super case - I just wish it was more durable. PS - Be careful the type of charger you buy.
