The black color rubs off on your ear lobe. Looks pretty crappy so make sure to clean them frequently. It does stop eventually. Lol.

I LOVE THESE sooooo much. But I had them in all day and the paint turned my holes black.

I absolutely love these gauges, and after reading some of the reviews, I was expecting a bigger lip in the back, unfortunately I had to add a rubber ring to the back cause they would fall out cause the lip in the back was so little. But other than that they are beautifully made and I'm so in love with them.

These came very fast and are very pretty but I have a few issues with them. First, the flare is so big! I ordered a 2 and the flare is equal to a 0 ( I compared it to some gauges I already have). So, it was really hard to get them in and made my lobes bleed a little. Second, the black paint that they put on the wood rubs off and turns my earlobes black. So much black is rubbing onto my ears that I'm sure the gauges themselves won't be black much longer. Last, they came with a small business card that says not to get them wet, but to rub them with oil once a week. I can't get them wet?! You're telling me I have to take them out every time I shower? That would not be so bad if the flare wasn't so large but I had a hard enough time getting them in in the first place! No way I'm going to take them out and put them back in for every shower. I wish they would have included that in the description because I wouldn't have ordered them if I knew they couldn't get wet.

I'm giving five stars for several reasons. First of all they are beautiful and I was looking for some really elegant gauges to match my Rockabilly. Wedding dress so when I saw these when I had to have them plus the cost is so so cheap. I can't believe I got such adorable plugs for so cheap: ) but most importantly the customer service was amazing, I was in such a hurry to get them that I accidentally clicked the wrong size so once I realized the error I emailed the store owner and she was just so so sweet to me, not only did she pull the right size for me but she was so understanding, because she was so sweet I will only purchase plugs from her store from now on, it's been a great experience.

I love these! They will be a go to when my ears are this size. Would love to see a blonde wood version.

I have ordered tons of gauges from Amazon, and have loved all. Except these. These turned my ears black and I ended up with an infection from them.They were pretty but definitely cheap. I’m bummed out because i was excited for them. I wouldn’t recommend.

These are beautiful! I was worried when I read that the flares on these were too big, but they fit perfectly! They do leave a lil bit of black residue on the ears( I think it's paint) but other than that they are great and very beautifully made!
