I'll just write this here so that other people know how to open them.You need to insert the key into the keyhole and ONLY push, do not turn it. There is a small latch inside that when you push it will unlatch from the top part and let you open the house. You might have to push the key and pull open the lid at the same time as the latch is harder in some of the houses (might need a bit of strength) and as soon as you stop pushing it will go back to its place. The key is a bit flimsy compared to how much strength you have to use to open it, so I don't know how many uses you can get out of it, so far the ones I got are intact but I imagine with repeated use they might break (there's 2 inside so there's an extra). If the keys break, you will still be able to open it with something thin and strong (that's how we first opened it because we couldn't figure out how to use the keys).Besides that, these are amazing. They are like the toys from that other brand that used to exist 20 years ago which were amazing. These are exactly like those, even the little dolls are the same size. I don't know why that other brand changed their products, but I'm glad it came back from someone else. These have so many little details inside and are so well designed, even with the difficult opening I couldn't give them less than 5 stars.

My 6 year old niece loved this! She played with it all Christmas Day! Perfect gift for her!

A nice little set. Much more like vintage polly pockets than the current Polly Pockets are! But my little one found it very stiff and difficult to open - which is great for security out and about but can be frustrating for a six year old. The colour palette is pleasing, the detail is nice. But you would need another set to have visitors to the shop, at least one of the mini lockets. Buuuttt the dolls from these set also fit vintage polly sets, as well as vintage figures fit in these.

Broke within two minutes of using it!

Neither of the keys worked. So frustrating as my daughter has waited for this item. Unfortunately I can't return this item currently as my family and I are self isolating until 6th April, so can't get a refund or a replacement.

Comments being made about the key not working, you don't turn it just push it in and pull open.

Rubbish! Keys do not work! Ordered a replacement and exactly the same. I pulled it open for my 6yr old to use. Do not buy.

Bei diesen neuen Shopkins Lil‘Secrets hat man meiner Meinung nach mehr Spielspaß als mit den Schatullen die es vorher gab (die mit den Codes) Diese Eisdiele bietet sehr viel Spielraum und Dinge zum aufklappen. Um das Spielzeug zu öffnen muss man den Schüssel einfach nur ins Schlüsselloch drücken und mit der anderen Hand das Dach umklappen. Den Schlüssel zu drehen bringt nichts. Bei uns ist die Figur in zwei Teilen angekommen. Sie ist zwar nicht durchgebrochen und man kann es wieder ineinander klicken aber sie fällt immer wieder auseinander, daher nur 4 Sterne.Jedoch kann ich diese Spielwelt sehr empfehlen weil es viel mehr zu entdecken gibt.

J'ai acheté ce jouet pour ma fille de 9 ans, et malgré le fait qu'il soit très mignon , il reste trop dur à ouvrir pour une enfant. En effet, ce jouet dispose d'une petite clé mais qui sert juste à pousser (avec force) un crochet tout en soulevant la partie mobile. Ce qui s'avère être compliqué pour ma fille qui me demande constamment de lui ouvrir. Il aurait été plus judicieux je pense, de créer réellement une vrai ouverture avec la clé. Quand un enfant a une clé entre les mains il chercher à ouvrir en tournant celle ci et non en poussant.
