It works just fine and looks very neat.

I live in the low deserts in AZ, where you would not figure you need pipe protection from the cold but guess again. I have 10 acres and many of the waterlines we ran on the property are PVC. It does drop to freezing and below a number of days and on many occasions, cold enough that the water freezes inside the pipes causing them to burst. Trust me, it is not anything you want to deal with in the cold. I have a number of these covers in assorted sizes and use the to cover any exposed plumbing. I also wrap the pipes with an insulated wrap that are below these covers. Since I have started using these I have experienced zero issues! That makes me a very happy buyer. At the end of the season I store them in a box for the next year. Well worth the purchase and way cheaper than replacing the plumbing ing, faucets, or valves.

This is perfect for keeping my spigot warm as i RV full-time in the Winter. I wish it was maybe 1-2" wider, so that it accommodates a connected hose. Nevertheless, I got it to work after adding two right-angle fittings to bring the hose closer to the standpipe, and I was warm all winter long with my heat tape. Overall a great value, and it saved me a lot of effort having to winterize.

Easy to fit and tighten. Perfect.
