Must read this book!
One of the best books I’ve read - great story telling throughout and keeps you constantly wanting to keep going. Binge read! It’s as good as watching a full season of Narcos. Put this book at the top of your list. The interesting details, hard work, sacrifice and determination give a clear perspective on my life. Thanks for sharing the story!

Great read.
I have been following Chapo for a long time. This book was especially interesting since I have traveled to Mazatlan for 35 years and I happened to be in Mazatlan the day he was captured. A good friend who works at a local restaurant was there early that morning and described what was going on so early in the morning. I have been past the Miramar Hotel numerous times. I felt Andrew and his partner did a great job telling the story. I am familiar with many of the places in the book. Thank you for telling the story and am looking forward to the movie next!

Impossible to put down
This was a fantastic account that was more interesting than I could have imagined. The authors do a great job making it as if you are right there in the middle of the hunt. I cannot recommend this book enough!

I just finished the book. Great read. I’ve been in law enforcement for over twenty years. Anyone that has been involved in long term investigations know it’s a team effort. The author tells his side of the story. If there are individuals who feel that credit wasn’t given where credit is due, I encourage them to take the time to write their side of story, get it published and I would be happy to buy it.

A Classic "Manhunt" Story
‘Hunting El Chapo: The Inside Story of the American Lawman Who Captured the World's Most-Wanted Drug Lord’ is a classic manhunt story, presented in a meticulous fashion that nonetheless makes for a brisk and exciting read. It largely eschews the cheap thrills of pitched gun battles for an intimate look at the more thankless aspects of such a large operation. Until the final act, El Chapo himself remains an elusive phantom who seems to specialize in last minute escapes. The reader is made to understand exactly how he was caught, and how such a victory can ultimately be seen as largely pyrrhic. This book is well worth the cover price, and a worthy edition to any true crime library.

Corrupt
Loved reading this book. Just lets you know how corrupt a lot of people are in this world. Exciting following around with Drew, he must have the nerves of steel. So glad this maniac is finally behind bars, hope he stays there!

Hunting a drug kingpin
Wow, what a great true story. If you’re a fan of Narcos, The Don Winslow Trilogy read this book! True story of how El Chapo was tracked and captured by a DEA operative. I stayed up late reading this page-turning thriller ride. Liked the realistic tone of the writer, no hype or ego from him, which considering who he caught was surprising. Great book, just read it!

A bit of an eye opener.
Really interesting book. I felt that in some areas it was a bit of an ego trip by the author but it really does show what lengths the upper echelons will go to to avoid detection and capture. By that I don’t just mean financially. These people are brutal in the extreme and there are no boundaries. The author also gives mention to the high level of corruption that permeates the Mexican justice system and the every day struggle that the brave few go through under immense risk to personal and family safety. Nobody can be trusted. The methods used to track down and capture the target are by nature complex and painstaking and therefore this does lead to repetition and some dull areas in the book. Nonetheless it is worth hanging in there as this is a bit of an eye opener.

Need to read
Outstanding effort with so many obstacles and the attention to detail that is required to put Scum Bags away. Mexican police should be locked up with the drug dealers as well.
