I am so glad I got this one
I received this Potting Table yesterday and put it together today. It arrived in a few days, all pieces were there and instructions were very good. I am so glad I got this one instead of one of the wooden ones I was looking at. It cost a little more but is well worth it. It is very sturdy and what I like, has no maintenance. Except spraying off with a garden hose. I read other reviews saying this table is hard to put together. I am a 61 yr old woman with back problems and I put the whole thing together by myself. It took me about 2 hrs to put together. Another thing I really like is the table work surface is 37 1/2" from the ground, which makes it the highest of the ones I researched. With my back problem I didn't want to be bending over. Bottom line I am very happy with this purchase and can't wait to start potting my plants.I will be updating with a pic once I bring it outside.

Beautiful Finished Product
I bought this to use as a serving area on my patio, and it will definitely fill the bill. With all the parts it takes to put this together, I gave myself two days to do the job, and I'm glad I didn't press myself. The directions are pretty clear, but you have to be careful and dedicated. I'm 77; did it all myself! YOU can do it, too. As others have said, keep everything squared to keep the slats all going straight when you're finished.

Nice but missing parts
I like this little bench. It's the perfect size for what I wanted. But it was missing parts and I could not have done it by myself. It's not hard to put together but it's complicated by having to put all the slates and sides together with our having help. I was missing 2 slates and one brace. We put it together with what we had because it took me awhile to find someone to help me. So before putting it together check for all the parts.

Very attractive potting bench -- with tubular PVC components to make it lightweight
Attractive potting bench with all parts made out of tubular PVC vinyl. All pieces are hollow, some with plastic struts inside to make them stronger (e.g., the table top). So it is not solid like a typical wooden bench would be. Initially this worried me, but now I think it is OK. If it was any heavier, I would not have been able to move it around -- and it would have been very expensive to ship. Be prepared to drill holes -- 60 of them. Although the external holes are pre-drilled -- the screws must penetrate from one tube (pre-drilled) to another (not pre-drilled) to secure the parts. It was a bit of a jig-saw puzzle to get it together -- but the instructions are clear. It took 2 of us about 3+ hours to put it together -- one person could not have done it alone. The final result is a beautiful white potting bench. Mine will live outside throughout the year so I hope it will survive our rainy cold weather. One suggestion: It does not have closed feet -- it would be nice to have a durable plastic cap on the bottom of each tubular leg that could slide around on cement -- mainly to keep the spiders and other critters out. My reason for giving it only 4 stars is that I am a bit worried about the strength of the bench for large pots, etc. But, note that It does have a 20 year warranty for manufacture defects -- not too bad. Thanks Dura-Trel for making what I think will be a wonderful potting bench.

Just what I wanted
I've gone through several potting benches, cedar, cypress, etc. This one is just perfect for our wet days in south Louisiana. Very easy to assemble, but, as others have suggested, it's best to go through all the parts, marking them before assembly. I found the screws went in very easily using an electric drill. No need to drill pilot holes. Two pieces were cut too long, so measure before assembly. They were easy enough to cut to the proper length. While some have reported not receiving all the parts, I had everything needed except one screw. There are four caps that cover the top of the posts. These glue on, and I thought that wouldn't hold. I was wrong. Tight and solid. I highly recommend this bench.

Kind of Worth It
Once the initial panic attack over the amount of parts and labeling of said parts was past, it was fairly simple to put together. Even though I ordered White, the sent Mocha which turned out better as it matches the siding on the porch better. It’s beautiful put together and sturdy.

this potting bench is the best
Love this potting bench, we live on the water in Florida and no matter what everything rusts, or degrades so quickly. This is why I decided on this bench, this kind of PVC material lasts forever and is easy to clean and looks good for a long long time. I have a fence around my yard that is the same type of material and its almost 12 years old and still looks very good. I am a 59 year old woman and I build 98 percent of this myself, I did all the hard part which was pretty much all of it alone. Its daunting at first when you open the box, but after reading and studying the parts I figured it out. I would have to say it would be nice if they put little stickers on the parts with the numbers that corespond to the directions, which must have been written by an engineer! The only thing I needed help with was the table top because it seemed that the brackets were slighty off, but my son who is very handy said it was fine so thats what I needed help with. This is a wonderful potting bench and I am looking foward to getting it to where it will be in the yard and using it for many years.

Good buy.
I received this and put it together by myself (71 yr old male). It is better if two people do it together as some of the parts are difficult to get together. Once assembled it is reasonable stable and does what it is made for.

Nice looking bench
Nice looking and utilitarian bench. Can be assembled by one person by using masking tape to hold pieces in place while screwing together. Would have been rated higher, but at this price expected the pieces to be more accurately cut and to fit better. The legs need caps on the bottoms and not just on the tops. The work surface should fit more tightly into the top of the bench. A nice bench, but be prepared to make your own modifications for better fit.
