In the product description, it says these are sterile long tipped cotton swabs in the beginning. At the end, it says nonsterile. Which is correct?

Mine were definitely not sterile. Arrived in a typical plastic bag with a vent hole in it. No indication of being sterile.

I’m looking for the long swabs that have the thicker Tip on them

These swabs are long with a tip like a normal q-tip or maybe a bit bigger. Great for cleaning a dogs ear.

Cleaning hard to reach fan blades on smaller fanss?

Yes. That is why I purchased. They are sturdy and I use it to clean my ice cleaner, window sills, etc. they will break if too much force but would be perfect for cleaning the ornate clips of a ceiling fan.

Would these be safe to us a for medical purposes?

I don't think so if sterile technique is needed.

Many purposes for these swans

I'm using these too apply grease on hard to track places in they work great. The share are strong with little bend, perfect for my needs. 6 inches is a useful length.

I like them

I’ve gotten tonsil stones my whole life and these sticks are great for getting in there and popping them out. I know, they’re disgusting, but I guess it’s natural. I like that these are long so I can get back there with ease and get them out. Every once in a while, you get a weak one that snaps but good thing this comes in a pack of 200 so you have plenty more.
