These shovels are perfect for the beach. I bought many other toys for our beach day and the only thing the kids played with were the shovels - for 7 hours! They are sturdy enough for serious beach digging but light and small enough for kids. Our adults were using them too. Haha - I guess we'll use the kites, spike ball and Frisbee game next time. But we will never go to the beach without the shovels.

These didn't even survive one trip to the beach. Two shovels were completely bent and then broke off the handles. The third was already starting to rust and corrode on day 2 of use. The handles are still in great shape, so it's a shame the manufacturer chose such a poor quality metal and paint for the shovel head. Definitely do NOT buy these if you want your kids to get to use these again and again.

We have bought several sand shovels as we live near the beach and they all have eventually cracked. We were being frugal and bought the plastic ones but they don't last long and I always see them in the garbage cans as we exit the beach. These shovels are amazing, sturdy, our boys can dig, make sandcastles, trenches for no reason etc... It's a waste of money to buy the cheap plastic ones because you will buy them over and over. Do yourself a favor and buy the good ones the first time. They will last forever!!

I bought these for my grandkids to use at the beach. They were perfect. The metal spades hold up better with digging and kids tossing them aside. Very pleased with my purchase! These should last through many more beach trips!

I purchased these for my son. He and his friends love to dig during recess time (with teacher’s permission!), and he needed something longer and sturdier than my little gardening trowels. The shovel head is metal and very durable. He really enjoys the variety of colors. I wish the handle was metal too, but they are plastic. However, it seems to be a durable plastic and is holding up well so far. We are both very pleased with this purchase.

After purchasing plastic shovels year after year, I’m so happy to have found these metal shovels. The handles are plastic and they have a wooden pole. The metal shovel part made diffing holes so much easier too, scooping out large amounts of sand was quick work. Definitely pleased with this purchase.

Nice shovels. Sturdy. But I believe they need to improve their packaging. The shovels come tightly tied together with nothing in between to protect the painted metal. So when you receive them those nice shovels are already scratched. A simple piece of cardboard or paper in between them just to avoid direct contact of the metal parts would prevent the scratches.

Hands down the best quality beach shovel out there. We have two boys and anyone with boys know how rough they are with things. Purchased these since all of the plastic shovels previously used broke and the quality surpassed our expectations. Great product!
