took quite a while to get this book. I read a review and knew I needed to have the book. I have gotten thru about half of it - its a great read, and you need to really think about the concept and how it works. If you want a really interesting book, try getting it yourself. Great read.

I wish everyone could find this book as fascinating as I did.

If you are interested in the polar regions and all that goes with these remote areas of our planet then you'll love this. It's probably the closest most of us will get to experiencing it. I loved it.

It was a very good read, made more interesting as my son worked on Halley and when he returned to the UK helped to build the new pods.

If you have an interest in architecture it might be interesting. A little dry with not much personality about it. I did spend four years filming this during the build so this might influence my interest.
