I ordered a size 8 and it was tight around the bra line, would you recommend I go up to a size 10/12 if I usually wear a 36" bra?

I am a 32C/D what size should I get?

Hi. I am a 36C and I got a D12 which is either a L or an XL. The D10 had fit kind of tight so I traded for the D12 and after wearing it for a day, I realize now that I should have stuck with the D10 because the material loosens up real quickly (after one time wearing). So now I am struggling with keeping the twins covered and I can't swim without worrying about a malfunction or a slip. I hope this info is helpful.
