Saved my a ....... bacon!
I have a 9 yr old Murano with 130,000 miles on it. Recently found it would hesitate, (significantly) when pulling away from a complete stop and when the engine was warm. Best way to describe it it trying to pull away in third gear in a stick shift! Took a long time to get moving! Had the plugs and leads changed. Changed the fuel filter .... nothing! So it had to be the CVT. My local mechanic suggested this on the basis that for a “wager” of $15 I may save myself a new transmission, (or, more likely, a new car!) Well, I dropped the 10 oz. in this morning and after just 30 or so miles I can report a significant improvement. The engine starts better, runs much more smoothly and that hesitation from rest is all but gone. I’m guessing that after the 150 miles recommended by LubeGard it’ll be cured. As it happens, I accidentally ordered two bottles and frankly I am not unhappy ..... it’ll keep until I need it again. Lubegard may well be the secret to eternal life - for CVTs! This really is a fantastic product. Best 15 bucks I’ve spent since .... well maybe we’d best not go there!!! PS. I paid full price for the product and received no compensation for the review. I just really am that impressed!! UPDATE ... and the gas mileage! I am truly excited about this product ..... (I know - I really do need a life!!!) I put around 1,500 miles on the clock over the holidays plus another 1,500 since returning and the hesitation issue is resolved! Not only that, but my gas mileage is up significantly! This car has never achieved better than an average of 15 mpg or so since I bought it new. Since adding LubeGard it’s showing an average of around 20 mpg. The holiday trip featured a lot of highway driving but after five tanks of gas since I returned, I’ve noticed that the indicated range following a fill-up, has gone from between 245-275 miles to 350-370. (Over the holidays a fill-up indicated an over 400 mile range, but that would have been disproportionately affected by the highway mileage) Just this morning I reset the tripometer for my usual local, 2 mile trip .... and it indicated over 20 mpg - cold start, two stops and usual local rush hour traffic. Now, I realize that 20 mpg isn’t fantastic, but, frankly, for a nine year old car with over 130,000 miles an improvement to fuel consumption in excess of 25% is pretty damned incredible to me! Now I just have to find out how often I can add LubeGard so I can get another 130,000 miles out of the car! Based on my experience, I can see no reason NOT to use LubeGard in a CVT. I dare say that it will likely prevent the problems I experienced and certainly improves gas mileage. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it.

Nissan/Jatco CVT, some going info.
This is not a miracle product but it does help hot CVT transmissions perform better by reducing foaming. If you are using Castrol Transmax this is a must have additive! Some advice: Your best bet is to change the fluid and filters first. If your vehicle has a pleated paper filter, usually underneath the plate cooler attached to the transmission, you absolutely have to change that filter as it will block the return of fluid from the cooler(s) and your transmission will continue to overheat. Nissan CVT transmissions should have carried an initial service interval at about 8k miles to replace the fluid, filters, and clean off the magnets in the pans, and then about every 20-30k miles thereafter as the filters and magnets are insufficient to retain the amount of friction material and push belt wear they produce. Fast forward to why you are reading this, your transmissions cooler(s) are packed full of friction material and belt particles, your pleated filter is preventing sufficient flow through the cooler(s), and you're heading for disaster - no additive or number of fluid changes is going to help without changing the filters, and you are going to have to do a lot of them. You might want to consider putting an inline filter like a Magnefine on the return line from your external cooler if you have one (or look into adding an external cooler if not), as this is the last path for the fluid before it returns to the pleated filter that isn't very fun to replace. You really should have your valve body checked, the aforementioned loose particles wear the control valves, which causes insufficient pressure to control the variator, torque converter, and clutches, which is going to destroy them. Hopefully you aren't past that point, and shame on Nissan for making these transmissions with such undersized filtering and cooling capacity, as they otherwise aren't bad.

Solid Product, works great
Used this on my 2008 Subaru Legacy 3.0L and it works as advertised. Lubegaurd is know for having quality products and this one hold up to its name. It is a newer product so I was a bit skeptical at first but decided that if it says CTV on the bottle, then why not give it a whirl. Ever since I put it in my transmission, I have felt smoother shifts while driving, and especially when switching from R to D, or vice-a-versa. This specific transmission in Subaru’s is known for causing many expensive problems, so I’m hoping this stuff will preserve my tranny for a few years. Car had 164,00 when I bought it, drove it for 500 miles then decided to put the lubegaurd in. Driven it for about 1,500 miles now and have seen pretty good results, much less hard shifts while accelerating ( decel still has some knock but very common in JAPCo CTV Subaru transmissions). Overall I have been impressed with how 12 oz can really make a big difference in the overall driving experience. I recommend. Only 4 stars because it’s only been 1,500 miles will update if anything happens.

Almost as good as a new transmission
I have a 2015 Nissan with a CVT transmission. When getting a free oil change at the dealership a few years ago they told me the transmission was showing a code and I would need to replace the transmission, at my expense. The only problem I was having with it was some shudder upon acceleration. After a few years, it had gotten worse and more often, so I was considering whether I should get rid of it or just drive it till it died. I researched the problem and saw a recommendation for the Lubegard CVT Recharge & Protect and figured it was worth a try. I added a full bottle and noticed a slight improvement within a few days. The package said it may take a month or so to get the full benefit. After two months, the transmission is significantly improved and almost never gives me any shudder. Maybe not as good as a new transmission, but almost, and much cheaper. If you have CVT problems, I would definitely recommend trying this.

Works very well on any CVT transmission. Will add more life to it and provide better protection in both cold and hot temp driving. Reduces wear & tear to your cvt transmission. Lubegard products all work very well.

Excelente producto, le quitó un ruido de golpeteo al cambiar de velocidades y también mejoro cuando se hacen los cambios, definitivamente lo usaré por siempre. La mejoría la presento el carro después de 6 meses.
