Super Jewelry Cleaner
This jewelry cleaner works very well. At first, I wasn't sure because the first few times I put items in to clean, it didn't seem to make a difference - I found the best way to use this machine is with a little dab of dish liquid and wait for the water to get warmed up, let the pieces go through about three cycles of cleaning, if really soiled - then it does a nice job of cleaning. I was a little hesitant about putting in some very expensive items (particularly my diamonds and other precious stones), but the cleaning cycle is very gentle and I was impressed by how they came out sparkling. Some of these pieces had not been cleaned in many, many years. They look great now! Also, the inner basket is quite large so you can clean several items at once. The only drawback I see to this machine is the instructions that came with it are POORLY written. They do not say what one of the basket pieces should be used for and the piece does not lend itself to being self-explanatory, either. It also does not say whether you should initially use cold, warm, or hot water in the unit, nor does it mention dish liquid. The onyl reason I knew to try dish liquid was from reading the reviews before purchasing it. Otherwise, this is a good jewelry cleaner at an exceptional price. Most importantly, you are using non-abrasive, non-corrosive materials that will clean your items safely.

Still going strong
I purchased this product way back in 2014, and I have used it consistently ever since. Amazingly, it's still functioning perfectly, proving its durability and reliability. The user interface is incredibly straightforward, making it a breeze to use, and it continues to deliver outstanding performance, even after all these years of regular use.

Amazing result better than I expected.
I puchased this for cleaning my fine jewelrys. The deliver was fast. the package is in a good condition. First I tried to clean some fashion jewelry just in case this will work and won't damage my fine jewelrys. I added some jewelry cleaner concentrate with warm water up to half tank, and I put rings, earings, necklace all together turned on for one circle(3 min). When I open the lid, OH!! I can't believe my eyes, all those old jewelrys are shining like brand new may be even brighter. Then I tried my wedding ring and some other gold / white gold jewelrys. As expected, they came out of the bath with an amazing beautiful shine. You can tell the machine does his job, because the water after cleaning turns very dirty. I haven't try on jade not sure if works with nature stone. but for diamond it cleans very well and without damage your diamond. This is a wounderful machine that cleans your jewelry like a professional jewelrier. The reason I only gave 4 stars is the package does not include the bridge which shows in the picture, therefore if you want clean for your watch you may need purchase seperately. I also contacted seller about this, they said they don't even carry this optional piece. I am not happy with this. But other than that, the machine itself earns 5 stars. Worth the money!

best $25 gadget ever!
This jewelry cleaner is so much fun! I love gadgets in general, but I also had this problem with all my jewelry being tarnished. My costume stuff was just sitting in a kind of junk pile. I was unwilling to trash it, but it wasn't wearable either. I have been gradually trying to buy higher quality jewelry because I get attached to some of my earrings, in particular, and find that the finish wears off. Anyway, I decided that to clear out my stash of sad looking costume jewelry, I would buy this as a last ditch effort to make it usable. I also bought the Blitz cleaner and used in my first and subsequent runs as I knew the tarnish would be difficult to remove (so I can't comment on just using water yet). The fine jewelry looks amazing. I had a gold, blue topaz tennis bracelet and the machine cleaned into all of the grooves where skin cells and soap and whatever else likes to live. It sparkles and looks fabulous. My costume jewelry mainly depends upon the condition of the finish. Several cheap silver studs cleaned up beautifully, but one that I wore quite a bit still has black marks because I think silver finish is chipped away (from wear not from the machine). On the other hand, a few cheap pieces had unexpectedly great results. I would be cautious about costume jewelry. Obviously, the machine works by small vibrations and it can vibrate things out of their settings. I would assume it's a possibility with any rhinestones, especially the small ones. Those can fall out on their own anyway so I would expect the machine to exacerbate that effect. Another example: I ran through a sentimental piece, a stone pendant with a "gold" setting. It looked aged and I ran it through twice to see what happened. I'm pretty sure the "aging" was a painted effect and it came off. I'm on the fence about whether this improves it or not. It certainly looks cleaner. I think this machine is very helpful because it's a million times easier and possibly more effective than a polish. I did buy a polishing cloth, but I intended that to aid the machine, not to replace it (it's still in shipment). I really don't like how caustic most silver polish is. It makes a mess too. So, if you're old school, you might not see the need for this machine, but I'm very happy to have it do the work for me and better than I have in the past. It's also a pretty small little thing so storage is not a major concern (I live in a one bedroom so it matters to me).

This review is for using it for making Liposomal Vitamin C, NOT for jewelry cleaning.
(update: stopped working after a year..fyi) I got this jewelry cleaner in order to make liposomal vitamin c (making a fat soluble, more bio absorbable version of vitamin c with lecithin), so my comments are not regarding the jewelry cleaning ability. The idea is that the ultrasonic waves work to encapsulate the ascorbic acid crystals, running it for 30 minutes and stirring with a wooden spoon throughout the process. It must be effective because myself and everyone whose tried it has had spectacular results with the end product (liposomal C), including increased energy and mental focus (I believe it makes the components of the lecithin, choline, inositol, much more bio available too) I am giving four stars not five because I've only been using it a few weeks, so I can't attest to its longevity, and because it only runs for a few minutes at a time (please let me know if you know how to make it run longer) before you need to hit the restart button, and all that button pushing has to be wear and tear to the motor. Also it is noisy as other reviewers have mentioned, but that is not such a big deal to me. I just saw this in a retail store for $49, so this is a good price too.

Works Better Than Expected
I purchased the model Optima 350i. This model is on the low end of the price range but has performed better than I expected. My machine did not come with the watch holder in the picture -if this piece is important to you, make sure it is included with the model you are purchasing. The Optima 350i has a single fixed power setting ("ON"), a 16 oz bath, and a single fixed timer that runs for three minutes. Originally I thought 3 minutes would be too short. It turns out to be perfect for maintenance, dirty and tarnished pieces take two cycles. The worst piece I had (never cleaned in 15 years) took three cycles and came out sparkling. This timer works well for jewelry, if you were planning on cleaning other larger, dirty, or heavily tarnished items, consider a unit with a variable timer. So far I have experimented on several types of jewelry, using plain water and "Connoisseurs Sonic Machine Concentrate" jewelry cleaner. Here is my experience: Distilled water: -Works well for maintaining items with dirt and minor tarnish -Works very well on marcasite jewelry and other small stones that tend to collect dirt around the facets -Not so good on rings and objects with built up oils or cosmetics Jewelry cleaner: -Works very well on gold objects (removed all the tarnish) -Works very well on rings -breaks down the oils and removes the dirt -Items with faceted stones look amazing Cautions: -Loose stones will fall out. It happened to me, not the fault of the machine. -When using jewelry cleaner, make sure to rinse your object right after cleaning and read the safety directions. -Make sure to unplug your ultrasonic cleaner and discard cleaning solution when not in use -it is not waterproof. There was one ring that I was not able to get clean under the stone, the setting is nearly closed at the stone and it has a small hole in the bottom. Perhaps a more powerful unit would work better for items like this. Overall I am very happy with the 350i and consider it a very good value for use with common jewelry items.

I love this little jewelry cleaner!
Shortly after we got married, our custom jeweler (who had been in business FOR YEARS and had been featured in various magazine interviews) just.. Disappeared one day. He used to do our regular jewelry cleaning at no charge when we'd come in, and after I got married, would clean my beautiful engagement ring he made. Not having him around anymore to check and care for our previous items left me searching for a cleaning tool I could use at home. So I bought this little gem! Having played flute for many years, I know that good old fashioned toothPASTE (not gel) can work wonders (especially on silver and gold metals). I add a little to the underside of my ring and let the ultrasonic run its course 2 or 3x for a really nice sparkle. For other jewelry, I just use a drop or two of dish soap in the water before running. I still get my ring checked for any looseness once a year at my mother's jeweler now, but at least for the regular cleanings, I can do it as much as I like from the convenience of my home. Clean-up is very quick and easy. Simply dump the water out -I do it from the side to avoid wetness getting near the buttons- and wipe all parts with a paper towel or very absorbent hand-towel. I do this immediately after using it and have not had any problems whatsoever (I saw people complaining about rust). To those people I'd have to say, stop being a lazy bum. If you take care of your things properly like most people do, they will last. Rust only happens when water has been sitting there stagnating and corroding for a while. I use this jewelry cleaner all the time -at least once a week for the past several months- and have had zero issues with it. It's quick, it's very easy to use, and it's efficient. I get compliments on how sparkly my rings are all the time!

Great Ultra Sonic Cleaner
I purchased this cleaner to replace my Sharper Image one that died after several years of use. The new one works great, and for less than 1/2 the price of the Sharper Image one. I paid $40 it, plus the shipping; I saw it earlier for $20 plus shipping, and I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy it for that price. Still, even for $40, this is a great value. It's large enough to fit eyeglasses in, which my old one wasn't. It auto shuts off after 3 minutes. To use it, I make a solution of a couple of drops of dish soap, a small splash of ammonia, and hot water. That was what my old jewelry cleaner had recommended, and it seemed to work, so I figured I would give it a try. Compared to my old cleaner (which took 5 minutes), this one works better - and in only 3 minutes. I usually run my jewelry through 3 - 5 times as I'm getting ready in the morning to get everything super sparkly, and I do this 1 - 2 x a week. Also, it has a basket that is the full size of the well that you can set your jewelry into, and there is also a tray for cleaning watches that nests in that basket. the only downside - not enough room to do eyeglasses, and have the watch in there without scratching the glasses with the watch band. Still with the basket, there is no chance of accidentally dumping a piece of jewelry down the drain when you drain the water - very nice. It works awesome. I would absolutely buy it again. Even my husband noticed a big difference when I cleaned his wedding band. This cleans my jewelry at least as well as the mall jewelry stores.
