I was using a different night cream prescribed by my dermatologist that was discontinued and I needed to make a switch. After doing a few google searches, I found this cream on Amazon and started using it about 6 weeks ago. I love it. I am in my fifties with the usual aging issues. I was skeptical of the cream right away because it smells so good (weird, right?). I figured it must smell great because they are trying to make up for the lack of value of the product. Boy, was I wrong! I like this cream better than the cream I was getting from my dermatologist and it is 1/3 the price! My skin has a healthier glow and fine lines are gone. I am surprised and delighted with the texture, smell, price and results of this cream!

I bought this when I ran out of my other night cream. I hesitated a good bit because I use a much more expensive line of skin care. After reading the reviews I decided it was so inexpensive that I didn't have much to lose. The product arrived quickly and like others mentioned this has a very nice presentation. When I opened it and put a bit on my hand I could see this was going to be a winner. That evening after cleansing with my Clarisonic I put the Genesea on. My skin felt extremely hydrated. I love the feel of this and would highly recommend it. Genesea sent me a very nice coupon code and I am using it to try their day moisturizer. If you are looking for an effective night cream with retinol you won't be disappointed.

I have been a loyal customer of Genesea products for about a year now. I loved these products and the results from using them. However, the last 2 items I have bought have been very disappointing. The last jar of anti-wrinkle cream separated when it was about 1/2 used and had a watery, curdled consistency to it. Now, I just opened a new jar of the mineral night cream and after using for 2 nights have thrown it away. It smells HORRID!! Has an old, waxy smell to it that is disgusting and I can't stand it on my face. It also made my skin burn. Had to wash my face again and applied my old standby. The light, fresh fragrance was one of the things I loved about the mineral cream. I don't know if they have changed their products or what has happened, but I'm going back to my Olay products and will NOT be purchasing any more Genesea. So sad, I thought I had found a wonderful product.

4.5 StarsBackstory: I have dry, sensitive skin. Harsh chemicals tend to irritate my skin. I can't tolerate Benzoyl Peroxide (very serious reactions to it). In my early 20's, I tried Retin-A and, of course, my skin looked sunburned and flaky (without having been in the sun). Consequently, I was hesitant to buy a product containing retinol. However, I'm in my early 40s now and would like a little help with fine lines and few dastardly wrinkles which have appeared. I have acne scarring and absurdly large pores on my nose. Additionally, many moisturizers seem to clog my pores.The best news is that this didn't cause any negative reactions with my skin. It's a very dense cream (I fully expected to get clogged pores), but it goes on lightly and absorbs quickly and no breakouts. I'm very impressed with its moisturizing properties. I can go all day and not have any dry patches. Yay! I used to get those dry flakes alongside my nose where it flares a little. No more.I would love to say that this eliminated my pores and acne scarring, but it didn't (I didn't really expect it to--okay, maybe deep down I did); however, I believe it has certainly diminished their appearance. I actually left the house to do some errands the other day without makeup on. Gasp!My day cream also moisturizes, but I felt as though it made my acne scars more prominent. On a whim, I tried this night cream during the day, and I liked the results. My make up goes on so nicely with it. Bottom line: I use this in the morning and at night--with no reactions. Because I like this product so much, I bought the Genesea day cream. I never even used it; when it arrived, it looked like curdled/clotted dairy product. It was separating and yucky looking. Needless to say, I returned it immediately, and I have since stuck with the night cream. I'm sure the day cream was a bad batch or a fluke. Perhaps it was old. I don't know. Doesn't matter. I like the night cream, and it meets most of my needs.I also like that this is not a pump jar. I get the whole contamination concern, but I want to precisely control the amount I use, as well as use every last bit of the cream. I can never press the pumps just right and get way more than I need or not enough and have to pump again--at which point I get too much--, and then there's always some left in the container when the pump can no longer draw up the product.I should add that it's essential that a product I use be cruelty free, and Genesea is. (I refuse to apply skin care products and makeup while knowing about all of the animals that have been horribly tortured for the sake of vanity.)Why the half star deduction? Maybe because it does not, in fact, work miracles. Imagine that. I'd love to see greater reduction in the pores and acne scarring as well as the wrinkles. Maybe I think there's a better product out there. I will try others and if this turns out to be the best, then I'll give it the full 5 stars. But at 3% retinol...I'd expect a little more out of it.Would I buy this again? Absolutely. I'd like to try another brand for comparison, but I also feel confident with this one.

The media could not be loaded.  It acts like a normal daily cream instead of the night retinol &collagen cream. I can feel relieve the tightness of my face after washing but I have not noticed an increase in elasticity or reduce lines.the smell is one of an old aged lotion type of smell.after putting some cream on the face, it smears like white toothpaste, so need to rub a lot until absorbed. see the video I attached.
