TENMASolder Wire, 188 Deg, 1Mm, 6Oz - 21-1045

The only solder I use.

Works just fine using this wire with my Weller soldering station repairing coax cable. Haven't used it much but it seems okay.

I've only used this solder once so far (to resolder a key on my mechanical keyboard that was chattering). It was easy to work with, had a reasonably low melting point, and actually fixed my problem. This solder is on par with other solders that I have used while studying engineering in school, and is easier to work with (in my opinion) than solders with a higher content of lead or solders that are lead-free. I'm going to give this product 5 stars for now, but I will update my review if anything comes up.

This item arrived exactly as expected. 60/40 tin/lead rosin core solder. Definitely works much better than lead-free solder and melts much easier. It does contain lead, so exercise some care and caution when soldering with this (i.e. don't inhale the fumes, wash your hands before touching your face/mouth, store in a safe place away from animals and pets.)Using this solder is simple and I haven't experience any problems with it. It always creates a nice, secure connection if done correctly. I bought this for around $9.00 and it was well worth it.

Good quality product

Everything Ive ever used from Tenma has always been decent quality and this solder is no exception. It wets well, melts properly and flows just as good solder should..doesn't oxidize super fast or give any attitude while soldering difficult jobs (close traces or funky components) sticks to odd metals even for those times your getting a little creative. Leaves a nice shiny solder job like a leaded solder should.

This stuff is so much better then the rest! Easy to work with, and leaves a perfect solder everytime. Flux paste not needed with this solder, unlike some other brands that are rosin and still need a paste! Does smoke a lot so be careful of the lead fumes! This and alpha fry are the top 2 best solders in my opinion.

Worked great for wire splicing. The wire that comes with soldering gun kits is junk. I had some of this wire but it was 15 years old and was having issues with flow.
