Great fresh taste
Great fresh flavor. Having a peanut allergy it is great to get walnuts and pecans that are not share on the same line.

Great value
Wow, a 2.5 lb bag of walnuts is really large! To me, walnuts always have an odd taste until they're roasted. These taste just as odd raw as other walnuts. They have a really nice crunch to them, which indicates they're pretty fresh. Our bag has an expiration date of 03-2026 - which honestly seems awfully long for raw nuts. The walnut pieces are almost entirely full halves, and not small broken pieces.This bag is a great value for walnuts.

I eat these as a snack right from the bag. They are satisfying and low in charbohydrates, which is important because I am a diabetic.

A bit rancid ... the second time~
The first time I ordered, a few months ago, the raw walnuts were excellent, and I said so, giving the product 5 stars. ~ The second order of raw walnuts ~ my favorite ~ was not the same. A 'bit' rancid. ( a 'bit' is an understatement). Very disappointed. Not fit for making special sauces (pesto sauce, for example) and recipes. Hence the 3 stars.

Don't waste your money unless you want rancid nuts!
I really wanted these to work since walnuts are very becoming a staple in our household. When I opened them, this funny smell eminated from the bag. But I thought with it being new that they couldn't be bad. I was wrong. They tasted TERRIBLE. OF course it was past the return date. What a waste of my hard earned money! That's what I get for trying to save by buying in bulk I guess.

Very disappointed
We have ordered these walnuts many times in the last few years and always have been very happy with them. They are usually fresh tasting and crisp. The bag we just ordered came on the verge of rancid tasting and are a little rubbery. They look fine and are the usual nice halves and very little small pieces. They just don't live up to the past excellence. Maybe it wasn't a great crop.
