Dependable Rechargeable Air Pump with Excellent performance
I purchased this Colman Quickpump (Rechargeable) to replace the previous model I had for about 3 years. Now let me first say that the NiCd rechargeable batteries in these and other equipment that uses the have a limited lifespan.I find the rechargeable version of this pump is most practical for camping since power is not always available. With that said, this pump has performed up to the standards of the original for all applications that I need.INCLUDED IN THE BOX:-Pump (internal non-replaceable battery pack)- Wall charger with cord.- 2 different size inflate/deflate adapters.OPERATION:To inflate just slip on the appropriate size adapter and lock on with a twist. Then turn on. This pump inflates air mattresses, backyard swim pools, and most consumer rafts very quickly and achieves a reasonable level of pressure for proper inflation. To rapidly deflate, this is really valuable, you insert the appropriately sized adapter into the side air intake port of the pump and turn it on. This rapidly sucks out all the air in the air in the air mattress, backyard swim pool, or consumer raft and makes packing up much easier and faster.CHARGING / USE BEFORE RECHARGE:Full Charging of this pump usually takes an overnight charge and this is common with most consumer devices and is due to the lower amp wall socket chargers provided. The PLUS is that the charge vs volume of air that this pump provides is EXCELLENTHere’s an example of items I filled before recharging the pump battery;Inflated/deflated Two queen size AND two twin size air mattresses on THREE camping tripsInflated/deflated one backyard pool (~12’x5’ with three air chambers) at least FOUR times.Inflated/deflated many pool toys and rafts multiple timesGENERAL COMMENTS:The only thing that I liked about my previous version of this pump was that you could insert the nozzle adapters into the pump for storage. The NEW versions of the pump, there is not built in storage. A nylon bag for storage of the pump, adapter, and adapters would be a nice addition, but neither the previous version or this son includes a storage bag.PROS:- Fast inflation and deflation- Long operation on single battery charge- Very portable (rechargeable version)CONS:- No built in storage for nozzles on the pump

Aired up a Coleman mattress very quickly
I used this to inflate two Coleman mattresses for placing under sleeping bags while tent camping. I wasn’t sure how quickly it would air them up based on the CFM ratings of this item with different power sources, but I was very pleased that this D battery-powered version that inflated and deflated them quickly.

THIS is my pump from now on! Coleman - add a charging light to this!
We tent camp alot - last trip 3 weeks in Alaska - remote Alaska. We use two, 7 inch air mattresses stacked (doubles the odds of you not waking up on the ground.) We change locations about every other day. On a full charge we went over a week before we needed to recharge! - which is big when there is no AC. It pumps super fast and you don't have to change batteries. What I didn't like: There is no LED to indicate current charge level or even if it's being charged. So when we're moving and it's plugged into an inverter, thats plugged into a cigarette lighter you have zero idea if it is really charging! You have no idea what percentage of charge remains. This is no big deal if you are blowing up pool toys at home, but if you;re away from power it is a concern that I should not have, Coleman - invest $1.00 and this would be a 6 start product.

Great air pump for air mattress
We found this air pump to work well for our air mattress. We were replacing an old Coleman air pump that no longer worked. Fortunately, we didn't throw the old one away because we needed the nozzle from it since the new one was missing the nozzle. Since the air pump box was taped shut with scotch tape, it looked like someone had returned the air pump, but kept the nozzle. Fortunately, that wasn't a problem for us since we had the nozzle from the old one that didn't work, but I recommend you check your box to make sure you have the nozzle.

Quick and easy
I like that it’s rechargeable no expensive batteries to buy. It’s fast and easy. I don’t like that the nozzle for the small opening doesn’t go in far enough and takes longer. But works great on the air mattress. I do wish it came with something to put the nozzles and power cord in. But all in all a great product

Too fragile for light recreational use
I bought this to inflate various lightweighty things for summer fun. It made it through one inflatable kiddie pool and (the next month) an air mattress (for swimming, not sleeping) before it died on me. Having bought it in advance of the summer trip, when I got back hauling this dead pump and its packaging, it was no longer eligible for Amazon's normally reliable return policy. Leaving me no choice but to warn you all that, even though this is a rugged-looking, loud, bright red, macho, brand-name appliance that has ONE JOB, it needs to be handled with absurd delicacy and attention inappropriate for filling kids' toys on a blazing summer morning when you have a family itching to get in the water. To its credit, it includes a long set of instructions for proper care of the battery during and between uses. Had I paid more attention to this needy appliance and its document instead of the needs of the family vacation, perhaps I wouldn't have run it for longer than ten minutes causing it to die a loud and sputtering death. I don't even remember the instructions for how to properly maintain the battery between uses, as I planned to use it a few times a year and ignore it the rest of the time. So, it's going in a landfill, and the second, uninflated air mattress, will have to wait until another vacation and a stronger pump. In summary, if you buy this product for a summer vacation, prepare to give it more attention than your family. If you buy it to inflate an sleeping airmattress for Aunt Berta to spend the night, I hope you're an opera singer, because you'll be inflating it with your lungs. I forgot to mention that the special tip for filling air mattresses broke on the second use.
