Product is defectively designed
This air filter was purchased for a Whirlpool refrigerator side-by-side Model No. WRS588FIHZ. The correct air filter number is W10311524. These air filters have the correct dimensions for the filter frame, but the tabs on the sides do not stick out enough to engage the filter compartment frame. The filter installation Instructions call for “snapping” the filter in place inside the filter compartment frame. Instead of snapping in place, the filter falls out without being fixed in place behind the vented door on the filter compartment. The tabs on the sides of the filter frame are not adjustable so that they will fulfill their intended function.I relied upon the designation, “Amazon’s Choice,” as a product certification that the replacement filter meets all the requirements of the Whirlpool manufacturer. Sadly, this product does not because it is defectively designed and manufactured.

Too short
I'm deducting two stars because it doesn't fit even though it says it's the right filter part number for my fridge. These filters are apparently just slightly too short. I'm not sure why they don't fit correctly because when held back to back they seem to be identical. When I put the new filter in the fridge however, it wouldn't snap in to the fitting. I took the inside filter stuff out of the old filter case and put the new filter stuff inside the old one. So, it works, but only because I saved the old filter case.

Seems just as good as the original manufacturer's filter
Seems just as good as the original filter, except much less expensive. The sealed packet I received contained 4 filters. In addition, each of the filters was individually sealed. I'll be buying more of these when my existing supply is gone.

It Fits
My Kenmore refrigerator manual states "Order Part #W10335147A". These fit perfectly. The appearance is identical to the original. I can't say anything about how well it filters the air because I have no criteria. I declare success anyway.

Slightly smaller than the brand name filter
It does not fit snugly in the housing, but that is actually a plus for me. The door that covers the filter will prevent it from falling out. The name brand filter was so snug that removing a filter was often a mammoth undertaking. I honestly don’t expect the filter to work for a full 6 months, as the name brand didn’t either. 4 months was the best I saw and for the price difference, if I only get 3 months, I’m still ahead several $$ per filter.

Will likely order again
Arrived quickly. This is the 1st time I did not order filter directly from refrigerator manufacturer., so I immediately inserted for comparison. Plastic housing of filter is not as rigid as manufacturer's & fit was slightly looser, but neither one of these issues should affect the purpose of the filter. Likely to purchase again.

good fit and super cheap
I don't know what the factory filter is like but its $10, this one comes out to only $1.50 each which is a super bargain. It fits perfectly in my Whirpool frig. I was surprised on how tiny it is, I don't expect it to last very long since its so small but since its to cheap i'll just change it our every other month.

Filters do not stay in place
The filters come shrink wrapped and as a result the tabs get pulled into a permanent position that is too close to the filter housing to effectively catch the refrigerator enclosure and the filter falls out. I actually opened the plastic housings and switched the internal charcoal filters so I could still use the original case that came with the refrigerator. The only other thing I can think to do is put something like a small folded piece of a matchbook cover or business card or what ever to push the tabs out a bit to make them catch the enclosure. Just don't pull them out too far or the plastic will break and you wont have a tab at all.
