Nothing to brag about scent-wise: weird, faint but not bothersome smell. Not moisturizing for my skin which dries out quickly so had to add another lotion. Texture is thick and non-greasy. In terms of effectiveness I would say it is/can be. I have darker skin and so it was slow acting in lightening my skin. But it did have an impact as AI started to see a lighter complexion eventually. It just didn't work immediately or quickly and is definitely not for dark spots.
