I thought it would be actual soil, but it worked fine.

Needed more dirt for some new house plants. Choose this brand, it came on time and the dirt is as expected and my plants are happy.

When use ratio 1soil to 2 water, all you get is watery mess, does not matter how long it stands, then I added twice as more soil, and after standing all night, it was like wet puddle with dirt, I gathered what was at the top to use it, it was expensive after all. Filled one 4" pot, had to through out the rest of practically dirty water. I would not recommend it. I had to give it 3 stars, because Amazon is preventing to give lowest rated and does not post reviews with one or two stars, this soil is not worth even a zero,

Convenient mix of perlite and fine grained peat moss ready to lighten up some tight potting mixes. Used it up quickly. Very satisfied with performance.

This soil contained everything I needed for my chrysanthemums that I am raising indoors. The only problem was the instructions because 2x the water per cup of soil is only a recipe for mud. Please do not do this, rather add water to the soil until it sticks to your fingers and then water the plant again after repotting. I bought the 2 quart bag which was enough to fill a 8-inch pot.

My venus fly trap is doing great!
