In response to the direction book, the previous customer is right...instructions are crappy! However, the sealer works beautifully. Here's the trick to it...Extend the snorkle, place bag over the snorkle and the small plastic white piece above snorkle (this allows a chamber of air to be created) lock lid, set the adjustable vacuum pressure for type of bag, turn on the machine and depress the bar when desired vacuuming has been reached. A beep will sound when done. This machine seals just about any type of bag. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really really liked this vacuum sealer *by N***K on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2016* I really really liked this vacuum sealer. The majority of the time it vacuum seals my freeze dried food and then seals it. Sometimes it doesn't suck all the air out, but I am pretty sure it is my error. The good ..it does work somewhat with mylar. The bad,,it DOESN'T WORK PERIOD. When you try to vaccuum out the air it starts fine, but just will not clear out all the air (I can get more air out by hand with a ziploc bag). I have a cheap box store unit that works great. (but not on mylar ) i would not recommend this unit for any use .
