Recipe Box - Oven

When my college-age daughter asked for a recipe box for Christmas, I looked far and wide until I found this clever wooden box with its whimsical attention to detail. Had it delivered to my office - everyone there loved it! Looks just like a little oven, from the painted pie in the oven to the painted oven mitt on one of the sides. It's even got little "feet" so the oven/recipe box is raised up from the surface.I bought recipe cards and protectors, and replaced the dividers that came in the box with ones more detailed. I copied her favorite recipes from my collection and presented it on Christmas day. She was totally delighted by the originality of the box as well as its sturdiness (it'll travel with her to Russia for a year of studies).When I first unwrapped the box at work, I was a little concerned about the paint wearing off. But she's been using it almost daily for 3 months now, and said it looks as new as the day she opened it. I know this was a gift she'll enjoy for years to come.Tatutina has several recipe boxes available, and I'd highly recommend any one of them.

The recipe box is very cute but when I opened the box up, the wooden knob was off. You would think if there is a recurring problem noted, maybe they should change how the knob is attached? Also, one of the hinges is loose. This is a gift for mother's day, so I will be probably be sending it back. Too bad because it is definitely a cute box. Fix the problems and it would be a good selling product.

This is a very cute recipe box, it's creative and not boring like most are. Fits 4x6 recipe cards with protective slip cover very well with even some room on the sides (not much as too look too big, but just right, probably a 1/4 inch on either side.) the box is pretty large, seems like it could fit many many many cards, I'd estimate over 150. It comes with matching dividers -breakfast-lunch-dinner -snacks-dessert- and misc. which is a nice addition. It seems pretty sturdy and like it will hold up to some use. The wood is thick, about 1/3inch, and actually seems well put together. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not have a problem with the green handle arriving broken off, it's very much on and seems quite secure. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase, and I can tell this will hold up longer than most of those cardboard recipe boxes.

So the little oven knob was off when I got it but I thought this box was so cute I really wanted it so i used some wood glue. Didn't want to return for a new one. Its big and I am enjoying using it already.

There seem to be a problem with this item that isn't being address. When we opened the box the wooden stove handled was broken off. Reading other feedback, this seems to be a continuing problem. Since this was a gift for out granddaughters birthday we decided to keep it and make the repair. If the birthday hadn't been in a few days we would have sent it back for a refund. If you order this recipe box, the chances are high it will arrive broken.

I love this SO much! I was tired of the cardboard recipe holders that were always ripping and breaking. This is super durable and super cute! It looks cute on my counter and holds a lot of cards..the big cards or small ones. I love this so so much!

It is really cute but when I took it out of the box the knob had fallen off, very disappointing because I love it. I would have given it 5 stars.
