Pommery Mustard Meaux Moutarde in Pottery Crock, 3.5 oz

I bought this as a gift and it’s probably the best mustard I have ever tasted. It is not cheap but is very good quality.

If it's the true, big stone pot of Pommery brand Moutarde de Meaux, you seek, beware of this one! Despite a photo looking just like the true 500-gram pot, this dinky, over-priced little toy size is only 100 grams net. It's okay, I guess, for tucking into a stocking or something, but far from the real thing. This would be a good price for the full-size grown-up version, but is WAY WAY overpriced for this mini package. Check carefully before you place an order.

The delivery was on time and the product was carefully wrapped to avoid breakage of the ceramic jar that contains this superb French mustard. This mustard must be tasted to understand what a revelation such a seeded mustard brings to the flavor profiles in your kitchen. It isn’t the cheapest mustard on the market, but IMO it is the best ground mustard I have ever tasted. It is even beautiful to look at, its aroma consistent with the richness revealed on the palate. The bite is never harsh, and the seeds’ mouth-feel is addictive. Do be careful, as I was not, to order the size you really want; the ceramic jar and the etiquette are identical, so the size cannot be determined simply by recognizing the image on Amazon’s site. The jar I ordered was quite dainty, and I use this mustard often. I’d have returned it for the larger size had I not felt the urgency I did to use it immediately. Buy this great mustard once and you will never return to your standby go-to.

Tasted great in the salad dressing I made. You don't realize how small 3.5 ounces is. Next time I will order 2 jars as the grocery stores near me are sold out of this product.

This is the fabulous original whole grain mustard. It's a terrific all-purpose mustard. I love to use this in cooking. The only problem I had, and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5, is that this particular size is a teeny little crock, and it's the exact same proportion as the really big crock. Somehow I thought I was getting a fabulous bargain on the really big crock, and this petite one came. I looked it up, and it's exactly what I ordered. This is actually a terrific little thing to keep right on the table. I'm enjoying it, although I'm going to be finished with it in about a week or two.

I am so happy to be able to have this delivered to our home. It's one thing to have such amazingly delicious mustard, but quite another to have such beautiful crockery to display. Simply put: LOVE THIS! Thank you for shipping to Hawaii!
