African Rhino Peri-Peri Hot Sauce, 5.7oz.

I am a person who eats some semblance of a hot sauce or a pepper with almost every meal. This African Peri Peri sauce has the greatest kick but awesome flavor. I don’t like hot for hot sake! I want to taste the rest of my food. This will give you heat and will allow you to enjoy the rest of your meal.

I have been buying this for years after seeing it on a "best of" show about hot sauce. I generally have at least 6 different hot sauces in my refrigerator at any given time and love trying new ones. This is my gold standard. Lovely, complex, unique flavor with just the right amount of heat. I've had other peri peri sauces as this is pricey and hard to find but none that even compares to African Rhino. Best on chicken or pork.

I'm a peri peri fanatic ever since buying a bunch in the central market in Maputo, Mozambique. This has an interesting, complex flavor but compared to the Trader Joe's equivalent, is very mild. I could easily do shots of it. Because of the mildness, I ran through the bottle very quickly.Mildness is not necessarily a bad thing if you're looking to pump up the flavor profile of a dish without adding a lot of heat. But if you're looking for heat, you probably won't be satisfied with this very nice sauce.

I first came upon this hot sauce in Firehouse Subs, where I often get to check out new sauces. This one is great. Alot of hot sauces try to compensate for their lack in flavor with with excessive heat. This sauce has good flavor. The "hot" version isn't too hot - you'll need to go stronger if you're looking to sweat. I love it on my subs and sandwiches. I can't find it in the stores around here, but it was well worth the effort to order it online, and it was very carefully shipped. You gotta try it.

Smells good but unable to use it, the glass bottle that it comes in is broken at the cap, so there is glass in the hot sauce and not able to eat it and unable to return it, so it went in the trash, for those of you able to use it, enjoy!

First tried this at fire house subs. Like it so much I bought some. It's not too hot. Med I'd say

The mild version is probably my favorite hot sauce, so I was looking forward to this version to add a little spice (the mild version has no heat to it). Unfortunately to me the flavor is very different. The hot has quite a bit more vinegar twang to it that I am not a fan of.It is still a decent hot sauce. I definitely wouldn't say it was bad, just a little disappointed coming from the great flavor of the mild version.
