Delish Insane Sweets: Bake Yourself a Little Crazy: 100+ Cookies, Bars, Bites, and Treats

I have several of the Delish cookbooks. Every recipe I have tried has been yummy. This Insane Sweets cookbook takes the cake! lol The brownie recipe has become a household favorite. Whenever I need to bring a dessert for any event or party, this is my go to cookbook for a recipe. I have gifted this cookbook MANY times and everyone I have given it to has LOVED it! I highly recommend it and suggest you try every recipe. You will be amazed at the delicious desserts you make.

I have a tendency to order something and then once it arrives read reviews. I read reviews on this book with an overwhelming majority saying it was all box mix (I almost even returned the book and am glad I didn't). This is incorrect, the cupcake mix is box mixes- everything else is from scratch. BUT if you go to the back where the holiday recipes are you can find a cupcake base recipe and just apply that to the rest of the cupcake mixes (give or take a flavor or two). For me this book is great, the recipes are simple and fun to make. And it's not overly time-consuming. Recipies fill an hour or two and make for great weekend activities. Definitely not kid-friendly as there are some explicit recipe names. I made the insane Lemon Bars and brought them into work. The office loves them!

My kids and I bought this for my husband for his birthday and we have been reaping the benefits of these delicious treats!! Easy recipes and easy to following. Highly recommend this if you want something simple but delicious and not overly complicated!

3rd time's a charm! The first 2 books I received were damaged-torn pages & upside down pages. Pictures look amazing, can't wait to try them out!

I flipped through the recipes in the copy I borrowed from the library and thought “wow these all sound amazing!” So I bought a copy for myself.. after making a few of the recipes I realize I should have taken the title “INSANE sweets” literally. Most of the recipes are cloyingly sweet and call for tons and tons of sugar. Not that I didn’t know what I was getting into with a book on desserts. These are just especially over the top. Be warned.

This is a very fun cookbook with a lot of creative decorating and flavor ideas. Some of the reviews knock the book for the use of cake mixes. If you have even a passing familiarity with Delish desserts you know they utilize cake mixes as a base and then add different elements to elevate it. I want to also note that it is only the cupcake and brownie section of the book which uses mixes; the cookie and other desserts do not. And in the brownie section there is a "from scratch" base recipe provided. There are pictures for every recipe. I've already made the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and Andes candies cookies. Both were delicious!

I can not begin to describe how much I love this book. The visuals are stunning and the recipes in the book are so simple to follow! Not only that, but there are so many more recipes then I had thought. In the pictures I’ve included, my boyfriend made the chocolate chip skillet cookie. It was AMAZING. If you or anyone you know is an avid lover of desert foods, this is the book for them.

Nicely done with great photos of all the recipes. Makes a good gift for any baker. Delish has a lot of great cookbooks, a favorite at our home.

Some great original recipes & some pretty generic recipes. But book is good quality and photos look realistic to end product.

some fantastic recipes. Dropped one star because some of the recipes use a base of packet cake mixes which is disappointing for a cook book. Otherwise very pleased
